Lukas Jutkiewicz.... is he worth signing?
Mister Neil replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
I've read that article too. The salient part is "Asked about the stories linking him with interest from Southampton – the club where he started out as a youngster – Jutkiewicz said: “It’s probably not appropriate for me to comment at the moment." The article does nothing to clarify the position but the comment suggests that something has been going on in the background, otherwise why not just say "I'm going to be a Coventry player until ... Lukas Jutkiewicz.... is he worth signing?
Mister Neil replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
But it doesn't say that. The opening paragraph is "COVENTRY City manager Andy Thorn appears to have held on to Lukas Jutkiewicz – for the time being – and landed an Aston Villa midfielder ahead of the loan window shutting." and the final paragraphs read "As well as bringing in an extra midfielder, keeping hold of Jutkiewicz will delight Sky Blues supporters. The 22-year-old, who was this week the subject of an inquiry by his home-town club Southampton to join St Mary’s with a view to a permanent move in January, is expected to be in demand from Saints and a host of other clubs when the transfer window opens in January." There is no actual quote saying that he is staying (or moving for that matter), it's speculation on the part of the CET which they have added to the story of a loan signing. -
Not quite the same, the Swedish sash goes over the shoulder whereas ours didn't.

Well, if it was the same "idiot" that was stood by me, yes he did sing about Charlie Austin, but that was not his sole contribution (which is in no way meant as condonement of his Charlie Austin chants). Also, as an aside, spare a thought for the feller who was just to the left of us. He had a white shirt on and when we looked a little closer it was an Accrington Stanley shirt. After the usual "Accrington Stanley, who are they?" gag, he told us that he was due to go down to Oxford but when he turned up at where-ever they were due to leave from, their coach driver 'couldn't be bothered' so he came to Burnley to watch our game instead.

No preview on the official site yet but the following match report from the game in December 2008 shows Saints were in Red n White. http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/page/MatchReport/0,,10413~44362,00.html

If you all think it's bоllocks, why don't you just say it's bоllocks instead of putting all those asterisks?
-
Too True. It was the most even 6-0 drubbing I've ever had the pleasure to watch.

Ad from the top of the page, did anyone else see this one? http://www.fishdating.co.uk/singlescatch?utm_source=google&utm_campaign=fish+dating+picture728x90-001&utm_term=dating%20uk&gclid=CNeUwOvlpakCFcod4QodJX_oug I thought it was a wind-up but having clicked on the link, it seems genuine enough, even down to the picture of the *****r on the opening page. I love this thread!

Came on as a sub in the pre-season game versus Reading. Didn't impress, I remember he had at least one shot on goal, mind you it nearly hit the telly above the goal! Read about it here http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2107519,00.html

Yep, me and Mrs Neil. We bought a split ticket, that is a day return to Exeter from Central and a day return from Exeter to Plymouth. Came to less than 40 squidlies each.

This puts a different complexion on the ticket allocation saga. http://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/page/LatestNews/0,,10421~2344509,00.html particularly the bit that says "The Club are keen to enable as many Bees fans as possible to enjoy this our final home game of the season and have subsequently turned down Southampton`s request for a further allocation of tickets." I hope we rain on their parade!

Yes, too many so I gave up (ages ago) - not that I was ever going to win.
