I know nothing about sports journalism, but have read quite a lot. First of all, good for you, it must take a bit of balls to expose your work to a bunch of strangers - so good on. Thing about Shilts, for England and Saints is that he almost never made a mistake. Any that he did, were made up for by keeping the ball out of the goal following defensive f-ips or brilliant attacking play. If a forward was clear on goal with Shilts in it, I'd be pretty confident it wouldn't go in. Totally brilliant keeper, competing against Clemence who was also brilliant in a time when our goalies were the best !
