  1. Deny the hangover. Do not let the threat of a hangover enter your mindspace. Have children, getting up before you go to bed will seem normal.
  2. Funny, I work with a Fillipino guy and he was telling us about Balut a couple of days ago. It's only the idea that's gross, but when you think about it, if you eat chicken, and you eat eggs, then what's the problem? It's just a boiled egg with meat inside. Anybody gone for that buried, rotting Mongolian dish?
  3. What kind of sick euphemism is this? Was Sofia a willing participant?
  4. This was stupid but funny Good work Jeff!
  5. I make sure my children are all too scared of me to do April Fools. This is because I used to chuck a suitcase down the stairs, move the suitcase amd then lie at the bottom in a contorted fashion. How my parents laughed!
  6. well, a bad party can have good ideas, and it's the present lot's duty to take the 'good' ideas from them. The BNP does present itself well on the website (no non-white models present last I looked though). It can focus on the issues that worry us (economy, education, crime etc) and allow us to find the implied solution (as in Final) through their good offices. I do not believe for one second that those bunch of jokers could run the country, but it wouldn't matter because the single issue politics they really would persue would create focus in their supporter base. This in turn would make the knuckle draggers more inclined to work as they will have a clear message to follow. In time, they'd be able to start a minor war and concolidate fear in the nation. The outriders of the military industrial complex would then be in a position to make vast profits from the willing Britons desperate to fend off the threats from the new enemies created in their name. I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, but as I've rambled on so much, it would be a shame to delete it.
  7. They're marginally cheaper than an apartment complex, so the value depends entirely on the camp site you're in. I went three times with them, once great, once average, once bad - but it all really boiled down to the weather and the people around. Staying in a tent is fun until it rains and you get water running through. The caravans are fine, but it's all down to the camp site - some of the caravan sites are clearly run by fascists. FYI, the best time we had was in the (then) low key L'Ecureils near St Jean de Luz in the Vendee. Get a corner pitch under trees. Hope for good weather...
  8. Well, I would have paid the extra for the under 25 wife.
  9. Traffic is bad past Bordeaux. I have had really nice weather and really crap weather in SW France - it's a bit of a gamble. We were near Bayonne 2 years ago in August, and it friggin rained (all day!) 10 days out of 14. On the other hand I went 3 years on the trot to Vendee/Lot/Dordogne and had great weather! In Brisbane, it's ****ing down right now, but I know for a fact I'll have holiday weather 70% of the year.
  10. http://www.talkforum.org is an entertaining read. Some NSFW and NSFGR (Guardian Readers)
  11. In a country where many major banks are 'owned' by the state (meaning they are really owned by sovereign bond holders in China, Russia, Malaysia, Serbia etc etc), I think Gay2theMax is employing the right strategy. Any debt will be written off, regardless of the fate of P©FC. The money will be nice and safe and clean.
  12. Fail
  13. Sorry to Feey at the first stream - but this one is working great for me!
  14. That's the barrage then.

I studied German and had to face up to the same things German kids had to at school - ie lots of exposure to death camp videos, Boell, Gunther Grass and other post 'Stunde Null' stuff. All German adults you meet will have been very explixitly educated as to how their parents/grand parents / great grand parents ficked it all up. They don't need any more education about it - they get it. Just reading the first few posts made me feel sick, not because of what was written, but because of what the writing was about - those horrible places. Yet, all this stuff still goes on (Rwanda, Indonesia, China, Serbia), all this vortex of hatred, coz humans love to kill.
  17. I'm 6 beers and half of bottle of wine in - got 29, 10 years less than reality!!
  18. On another note, the thread title could be sung to 'Bananas in Pyjamas' quite nicely.
  19. You want your accountant to be a stickler for detail, so he gets lots of re-commendations.
  20. I like to suspend a goose, roll its neck back and slit its throat at the Apex, collecting the blood for pate. Then I insert a liposuction rod into its dermashpere and get all the fat out for the roasties. If it's not already dead, I'll whack it in the head a few times in order to tenderise the brain for the sweetmeats, Following that, I'll remove its bowels and inner organs for dessication purposes, then I'll rip its wings and feathers off. THEN, I'll eat the spuds and goose combo!
  21. I love a plateful of 'christmas dinner' veggies with lots of gravy. Is bread sauce only allowed at christmas? Accompanied by a mushroom & cheese bake = lovely. And no hours spent scraping animal fat of all the cooking stuff!
  22. Interestingly, a spot the swastika competition obviously in place at the Beeb! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8577512.stm
  23. Criteria met!
  24. How's anyone supposed to know that?
