Newcastle aren’t really a benchmark. Their positioning of away fans at St James Park goes against the Premier league rules that were brought in around 5-6 years ago which stipulates that away fans must be positioned pitchside. Newcastle are the only ones that don’t comply, they have an exemption due to “safety reasons” (basically keeping supporters segregated on entry/exit).

U wot m8? Did you not see our unique, innovative and frankly amazing light show before the Forest game? It was inspiring and put us right on the map. The Chapel kop was effervescent all night after that, especially after the OWTS funeral march pre-game.

All of those 3 listed should be thanking their lucky stars that they are on premier league wages and that they are in some form of spotlight. If they are agitating for a move they need a heavy dose of realism. Djenepo just got given a massive contract extension FFS. Particularly for him and Elmo, we’d be lucky to get a club who would willingly take them on at the wages we’ve given them. Bang average overpaid muck.

Forster hasn’t got better with hindsight, it’s just realism to accept that he’s better than McCarthy and he’s probably better than Bazunu. Like losing Romeu, the problem wasn’t getting rid of Forster, it was replacing him with someone who currently isn’t as good as him. We needed to improve the GK position (and get Forster’s enormous wages off the books), we seem to have worsened the position in the short term.

I get the feeling the, if we did that, we’d get stripes more often than not. It seems to me to be a vocal minority on here that prefer a variance from stripes, when there’s actual polls been done on here stripes do seem to be quite popular. Personally, I’d like to see a variation of all we’ve had before (and more) on a sort of informal rota. Stripes one year, halves the next, rank xerox, sash, add quarters in the mix and maybe even a solid red shirt that is not as shit as the Cortese kits and the dreadful centenary shirt.

That kit was very nice but we barely saw it all season, the club insisted it would only be worn when none of the shirt, shorts and socks clashed with the other side, and Saints wouldn’t change shorts/socks colour to suit. As it was, due to it almost neve being used, we made it our FA Cup home shirt. Then went out at the firs time of trying.

A young forward with 2 goals in 54 appearances his club, sounds right up our street.
