  1. I did it in Rhino, I was helped out by the bouncers. They sat me down outside the back of Caspian, patted me on the head and said ‘see you next week’. I think.
  2. Where’s option 8, relegation from the PL followed only by subsequent relegation to L1? Because that’s what happens apparently.
  3. Three. And you earn respect, you don’t just get given it.
  4. Depends if we sign anyone else in that position in the window. If we’re still persisting with Adam Armstrong wide left in February then we’re fucked and there’s no hurt getting Tella back. Armstrong seems to be getting worse, not better. But we definitely need someone better than either of them. Tella didn’t too much for us last year for us, and during pre season he looked awful. That said, particularly in pre season, he was being played up front central and looked like a fish up a tree. The low benchmark to clear is whether he can be any worse than our other options. And being as he’s our player already it might be worth a roll of the dice if we can’t bring anyone else in.
  5. Sounds about right. By 1 or 2 goals is a defeat, 3 goals a sound beating, 4 goals a big defeat, 5 goals a heavy defeat, 6 or 7 (seven) and upwards is a hammering. I reckon we might be able to limit the damage to just a defeat. Though I’m not confident and a sound beating or worse could well be in order.
  6. Tbf they’re 9th in the table and defying all pre-season predictions of relegation. That said, if they were 19th in the table I’d still be expecting a heavy defeat. We are absolutely garbage.
  7. Stones
  8. The slippy Santa race fat man who split his pants? I got an infraction on here back in the day for calling him a fat embarrassment.
  9. Nathan Jones reminds me of the latter days of George Burley, a pissed up over-enthusiast windmilling his arms on the sidelines while a shit-show ensues on the pitch and none of his players actually listen.
  10. No he didn’t. He said himself he wasn’t a defender and he had much to learn there as he was an attacking midfielder. As Turkish said, he came in for Arsenal as a makeshift right back, I think when Hector Bellerin was out injured. But before that he’d played in midfield for Arsenal as a nipper before going on loan at Ipswich where he played in midfield (before acting the cunt and getting himself dropped for off field reasons by Mick McCarthy).
  11. Lawrie McMenemy got us relegated and didn’t get us back up for years. Or something.
  12. He plays in midfield He plays on the riiiiiiight Ainsley Maitland Niles He’s just fucking shite
  13. Best Xmas present, new year present and 2023 present there is on here. Im writing a letter to Santa @northpole as we speak. Hopefully not too late for it to get there.
  14. You’ve never seen away fans cheering in the home sections? I simply don’t believe that, I’ve seen it loads down the years. I’ve seen it on TV when I’ve not been at the game. And it’s been commented about on here. Away fans wearing kit in the home end, much less common. But….There was even a picture put up on this site earlier this very season of a man United fan in his shirt in the itchen I believe (who, apparently watched the first half then maybe got hooked after that). So it clearly does happen.
  15. I think everyone knows how away fans can buy tickets, that’s not the problem. The problem is away fans turning up in away kit and being shown to their seat in the home end, or just being allowed to wander through. It’s away fans cheering in the home end and stewards doing absolutely nothing about it. And as said above, these people should be thrown out and their ticket taken so they get barred from the database, all very simple things that are simply following the clubs own documented rules.
  16. Yeah, I posted a video the other day from an interview he gave when he was playing at Arsenal as a RB. Link below. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11813263/maitland-niles-right-back-not-my-position At that time he said he was not a defender and hadn’t really done it before, he was learning as a defender. Said he’s an attacking player, central or wide. As the interview above says, he needed to find a proper fixed position but he’s never done that, and like you say he’s a Jack of all trades and master of none. The AMN thing with us is akin to getting someone like Oxlade-Chamberlain a few years back but then playing him as a holding midfielder. It’s just not going to work all that well.
  17. I think we’ll continue to massively struggle if we rely on AMN as a defensive midfielder. Alongside Lavia he might have the odd reasonable game, on his own he’s just not cut out for the role. On Tuesday it was noticeable how much better (or less shite) he looked when going out to RB. Hes not a holding a midfielder. At all. And with KWP fit, he’s not our right back. I wonder if he could do a job in a 4-2-3-1 on the right of the 3. Maybe, maybe not. We need Lavia fit and firing. And until then our next least-worse option is JWP doing more of a disciplined job in front of the back 3/4, which is far from ideal.
  18. ‘Academy manager’ seems a bit of a misnomer. He was academy loans manager, or Player Pathway Lead as it was officially dubbed. Sounds like it was a bit of a research and player/clubs liaison role rather than coaching.
  19. This does seem more likely tbf.
  20. I think you might have missed the point on this one grandad. The normalisation of women’s football at a young age has always been a target, and having their own role models is fairly important. There’s plenty to disseminate about that side of the game in general, this really isn’t one.
  21. It’s literally the best fun as I had as a saints fan, when we were in the championship and league 1 and going to games on a Saturday then Wednesday. All teams around us are in the same boat as well. And we all know that we’ve got a squad that is large but mediocre, so we can swap like for like at will.
  22. fucking fuck me,
  23. Stars are about similar to Elmo when he was at Celtic but meh, Cheggars can’t be boozers.
  24. Fuck it, he’ll do.
