  1. What an appalling game this has been.
  2. I think it’s much like the complete divots on here over the past few years who try and justify the creation of positions like front sweeper and inverted full back, when really you should just look at the actual position and decide if the player is good enough for it. Tront is an excellent full back when he doesn’t have to defend very much; when he has to defend he gets found out a lot. He’s still a good player there, but he has limitations at the very best level. How, on earth, has he been highlighted to play in midfield? He simply is not good enough to play there. England came alive at last.
  3. I missed the previous Malta game when the press afterwards had a jizzfest over his performance in midfield. Aside from that, no. The geezer simply isn’t a midfielder.
  4. In a midfield three including Gallagher and Hendo, Tront still comes in third best. And those other two have been fucking shit.
  5. I’m rarely serious on here. Plus I studied statistics throughout my education; so while I think some of the football stats on offer these days are a bit erroneous and/or overstated, I at least understand them.
  6. Rory Stewart is a fraud. He tries to portray himself as a ‘nice’ Tory but he’s a fucking awful man. Deep down he’s a really good little Tory boy and behind the plummy act he’s a bit of a horror.
  7. I do not. If you could carry on with your ignorance elsewhere that would be lovely 🥰
  8. Wouldn’t be a problem for you would it, Jamie? Take, for example, someone who has commented many times that they ARE a Tory because their family got gifted a council house many years ago. Would calling them a Tory, when they say have many times said they are, be a problem?
  9. I’d probably suggest she is one. Has one? That’s for another thread.
  10. And here comes @Lighthouse, king of the moving of posts because they don’t fit in with how he thinks threads should align. Good job fella.
  11. All statistics are made up for betting. All of them.
  12. The Supreme a court has just unanimously decided that the Rwanda Scheme is illegal. Nit a good week for poor old Cruella.
  13. New Conservatives have already released a statement basically saying that they’re not going to put letters in. Almost looks like they’re getting ready for life and party realignment after a lost election, so probably just lots of leaks about Sunak being weak / a liar up to then. Could be good viewing.

Cray Valley Paper Mills away. Get the train into Waterloo then catch the clipper to Greenwich, wander past the Cutty Sark, have a few beers in Mean Time brewery then into Goddards for pie and mash. Watch the game, repeat in reverse then head home.
  15. Every time I look at that hate-filled halfwit I’m reminded of a Dahl sketch.
  16. I tend not to look at her feet.
  17. Ange is fucking brilliant 😍
  18. Yep, agree with this. Right now I just want a government run by intelligent grown ups. Labour have an awful lot to prove and seeing Starmer already row back on certain pledges is a slight concern. But they’re certainly a better option than the current shower of shit and deserve a chance ASAP.
  19. Just when you thought Sunak might have seen sense and ditched the culture war bullshit, he goes and appoints Esther McVey as the Minister for common sense and anti-wokery tsar. These lot really do need firing into the sun, never to return.
  20. Tbf Priti is quite pretty from the neck up. Being shaped like a weeble from the neck down doesn’t help her cause, granted. Sue Ellen on the other hand looks like Dobby the elf.
  21. I’ve only got great memories of JWP, and I still look out for him and am glad when he does well. I don’t really think he’s quite up to it for England though. As a deep holding player, I don’t think that’s his major strength and when he has played there for England before he hasn’t exactly stood out. He gets mentioned there because there’s such a dearth of talent and for some reason Henderson/Phillips are still being picked. Further up the pitch there’s so much competition for places, and Cole Palmer has also just been called up to the squad, I don’t see him dislodging anyone there. The argument to be made is instead of Henderson or Phillips but personally I’m not sure England are losing out on a huge amount by not having him there.

We’re the ‘Airport Stealers’ if I recall correctly. MLG alert: a small fraction of the runway is located in Southampton, though the majority of it and the terminal building is based in Eastleigh.
  23. Sky showed a stat pre game, he’s already played more minutes for Chelsea than he did in total for Man City. City have also got an embarrassment of riches in his position so you can kind of understand why he left. He’s also been given pens so he’s clearly right at the front of Chelsea’s plans and will likely start whenever he’s fit. Unlike at City where the likes of Grealish and Foden are often on the bench.
  24. Tories still predicted for the seat but a hell of a lot closer than previous years when it has been in the top 20 safe blue seats. https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/fcgi-bin/calcwork23.py?seat=Fareham and Waterlooville
