Literally a soggy wet dream in north Islington, one useless bellend holding up an umbrella for a complete cunt.

I don’t think anyone sensible would disagree with the notion of signing a few proven older heads. Lawrie made his name by it and it’s definitely something we need imo if we are to stay up. We’ve got some decent PL experience already in our squad but I think the spine would absolutely benefit from a few older heads who will start and play most games. Personally I don’t see the big attraction in Lallana unless he’s come very cheap (and I doubt he has). I’d hope we’ve got enough big personalities in the squad already for the off pitch support he’s supposed to be bringing. On it, just don’t think he’ll be on the pitch enough to be a huge driving force. Whatever. Hopefully he’ll be a benefit but I’m not expecting much.

At least it’s only a 1 year deal.

I’d be interested to hear what wages he is actually on. I believe Theo was £75k a week when he came, which wasn’t exactly money well spent for a “free” transfer. If Lallana is looking for a way into coaching then one would hope the wage is considerably lower than that of a regular first teamer so that it doesn’t detract from our financial ability to bring in other more key players.

Still got crisp packet wrists then.

Fairly sure one of the Charlie Wayman posting brigade declared angrily on here a year or so ago that they’d never foot inside St Mary’s while Sport Republic are in charge 🧐

The heating has gone on in this house, it dropped below 17 degrees. It’s mid June ffs. The heating has been off since the end of March.

Ideally I'd love to see a Leicester-type plan for expansion (I know Leicester aren't doing theirs but they got permission). Would take capacity up to around 40K which I think we could sell out for the top games. Middle and lower ranked games wouldn't get up to that, but that's just something you have to accept. What I wouldn't want is to a Cardiff, which is a similar thing but looks absolutely dreadful.

@BERMUDASAINT, has the sun gone to your head?

Streeting is certainly very important to Labour. Very good on panel shows and when getting grilled, he’s often right on top of his brief.

We’ll have a better idea on 1st July, that the deadline for existing ST holders to renew. After that, any non renewed season tickets will become available. The club may have chosen to hold back some seats in certain blocks. No idea if they have or haven’t, and likely won’t be able to see how many “available” seats there until the first home match tickets go on sale.

I think the fact we have to let in up to 3,000 away supporters says, er, no. Discount those plus the corporates, guest tickets, boxes etc, it certainly appears sales have gone extremely well.

I’m guessing this wasn’t the BBC News headline he was hoping for, the dopey twat 🤣

I think I’m right in saying that the deadline for announcing candidates was last Friday. So candidates could be switched up to that point, but now we’ve gone beyond it they’re locked in.

Very accurate description. Tries to hide under the cuddly old simpleton persona but that mask fell off years ago.

How can it be cold in Morocco? I’ve just spoken to my folks who have been out in southern Spain for the past few weeks, they say it’s getting to the point where it’s too hot, getting above 30 degrees (though today was bearable as it dipped back below 25).
-
I thought he did, and it was a few weeks before Lallana. I seem to recall when Lallana did it, it was diluted because Rickie had done something before. I may be wrong but that’s definitely my memory. Maybe I’m conflating the two though.

Cant see that happening myself. Labour know it’s not in their interests to do it. Plus we had the shambles of the alternative vote referendum under the coalition. I’d be in favour of PR but the main parties aren’t and I’m not even sure if the overall population would go for it if it was put to a vote, polling on PR suggests at the very least that it would be close.

A genuinely repugnant idiot.

Again, I genuinely can’t see where they go from here. Sunak is surely off as soon as the election is over but then who do they elect? Absolutely nothing that screams of leadership material. Shapps wants it but he’s a completely useless bellend. Penny wants jt but whenever she opens her gob she just shows how thick she is. Cruella, Patel, utterly hideous and genuinely repellent to the public. And Jeremy Cunt, an absolute nobody. They could try bringing in frog faced Nigel but, as much as he’s popular with a minor percentage of the population, he’s an absolute turn off to the rest. Same for big dog, the hopeless cunt. Bad Enoch is a complete dimwit too and she’s considered a leading light. Struggling to see where their next leader comes from, they all look completely fucking hopeless.

Genuinely don’t see where they go from this. Reform aren’t going away and are occupying the ground to the right. Labour have gobbled up the centre. Tories can either go after the right wingers or the centre but I’m struggling to find a strategy where they can do both. It’s a pickle and no mistake.
