He's gone

It is a deep concern of mine that we spend stupid money on players in January designed to try and keep us up. We did that last time and we got Orsic, Sulemana, Onuachu and Alcaraz, one of which never played, two of which didn't suit any system and were shipped out on loan and one who is just shit despite his speed. We need to be building for the Championship season. This season is over. The rebuild needs to start now.

We probably won't metaphorically speaking.

If I were on the subs bench tonight for Saints I'd be faking an injury. No way I'd want to have to come on after that half.

Don't hate the team but we'll still lose. Progress will be not shooting ourselves in the foot all game. For once I'd take a defeat purely because the other team score cracking goals, not because we gift them goals. That said, I still think we'll make our usual mistake so I'm going for minute 19. But it's Christmas, stranger things have happened.

The only manager I've ever really wanted gone before was Pellegrino but with Russ I'll be happier with his sacking than with anyone else. I don't hate his philosophy, he's just doing it with the wrong team, the wrong players and he's too egotistical and stubborn to change his ways to best suit us. Who for? I don't even care, I will welcome the change.

Buy goals? Our attack isn't the main problem, it's defenders that can't pass the ball as they're being told to.

We’ll play short, intricate passes when the wind is behind us and long ball would be better, then punt the ball long when we’re facing the wind. It’s the Russ way to do things backwards. I half expect a comical own goal by somebody today.

Just heard the game has been called off. In a statement Villa boss Emery said “we just cannot play Southampton right now, they’re just too easy to beat and I want to wait until they become more of a challenge.”

No doubt I'll get my standard Saints shirt for Christmas from the wife. If it has Jack Stephen's name on the back I'll stick it up her bumhole. Then mail the shirt to Gregg Wallace to make his year worse. 😜
