I know some people don’t rate him but I wouldn’t be averse to Redmond staying as back up. However he’s been completely overlooked this season so it looks as if his days are numbered anyway. Good news if Dibling is back. Maybe he saw the pathway to our attacking areas are better than theirs, which is something most of us could have told him in the first place. Starting to get antsy for an announcement of our signings now. AMN particularly is important that it goes through due to versatility as well as C-C otherwise we’ll have 3 CBS.

4 CBS is fine as long as there isn’t a big injury crisis. I prefer some kind of a fifth option. Right now that’s Lancashire unless Lavia is able to adapt. I definitely hope ABK and Salisu stay fit though and it does look like we’ve ditched the 3 CBS option.

Until there's concrete signing proof I will always worry something will happen to make a transfer collapse. "AMN has failed to agree terms with Southampton because he wants a swimming pool and Saints could only get him a kids paddling pool..." or something.

I always liked Jack, remember this is the last of the League One players that had to make the step up and he did so without moaning and to semi-success. He's never moaned about being 4th choice and it's not his fault he's not equipped to play at this level, he just found himself at a club that kept getting promoted. Passionate just not quite good enough. Remember when him and Yoshida were our partnership after we panic signed Caceres after selling Fonte with no replacement.... I assume he'll get a testimonial when he does leave?

Disagree. Great player back in his day but that was long ago. Been poor for ages. May have the odd flash of his old self but I can't see him doing much.

Maybe not but there’d be a great difference between Valery-Bednarek-Salisu that we played against Spurs and ABK-Caleta-Car-Salisu

Not sure but I'm pretty sure we've only won 3 league games in a row once since the tail end of the Koeman last season when he did it. We often come close but game 3 is drawn. I don't think we've won 4 in a row for a very long time.

I've not seen a bunch of people on a forum analysing flights this bad since I was on the Cardiff Forum when they lost Sala. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Que Sera Sera and all that. I have more faith in our current leadership than I've had in a long time and they seem to know what they're doing. Remember Leeds' have to sell to buy and that's not happening either. We're in a much better position. Yes I've woken up positive this morning despite a bad night being ill. AMN will happen, the City boys will happen, Badé will happen and Gakpo? We'll see but the club haven't done us wrong in this window yet. (Personally if it falls through we should go for Ismaila Sarr. IMO)

Reading the Leeds forum they don't think they'll get Gakpo. It seems they are living the buy to sell spending model that we had under Gao. They're also more interested in bringing in a striker than a winger hence the big for the Wolves lad. I think we're in the driving seat for this one but it's dependent on PSV. Still a lot could go wrong. Gone quiet on the exits for Bednarek, Stephens, Valery and Romeu hasn't it! Has Redmond even been linked with anyone? I wouldn't be averse to keeping him as back up anyway. I guess Bednarek is dependant on West Ham selling Dawson. And Dawson wants to leave so that'll probably happen, although they have also been linked with... Vestergaard.

Piss off Leeds. And anyway, I still don't understand big clubs clamouring after Dan James. He's far from perfect, inconsistent, lack of end product. Of available wingers I'd rather Adama Traore or Ismaila Sarr if I were Spurs... or from Leeds Jack Harrison who is probably the better player. All IMO from what I've seen. .

It's probably just due to years of supporting Saints and being disappointed with so many transfers but I still think we'll miss out on Gakpo somehow. Just a hunch something will happen or someone will usurp us or PSV will stop it somehow. I reckon AMN will be done (someone said he's already in Southampton?) And the City boys and Badé will come in but we'll be left looking for our attacking talent on deadline day. Of course I'd love to be proved wrong as it would be a big statement of intent.
