We seem to be able to grind out wins when we are not playing at our best. A sign of Champions - even if we left it a few months too late to start the season.

Trouble is we also need Ipswich and Boro to pick up annoying points and for us not to. It's possible and it would be fantastic, I just think we'll run out of games. Cementing play-offs, heading into them in good form and steering clear of injuries/suspensions to the likes of Peretz, Azaz, Scienza, Downes, THB and Breezy will be a good end to the season. Winning the play-offs would be even better.

An annoying point for Millwall if this stays the same, but realistically I don't see us making 2nd anyway. Still 8 mins injury time for WBA win it...

I'm conflicted because as much as I'd like to see West Ham drop, I think Spurs dropping would be more hilarious. West Ham also seem to be in some decent form in 2026. Leeds and Forest should definitely be worried. Forest have the players on paper to survive, Leeds fight hard. Spurs have 7 games to get their shit together or they are in real trouble - and we all hope they don't. Besides them I'd rather see West Ham go down but I have a suspicion that Leeds could be in trouble, even though they fight hard. Forest probably have the players.

Yep, although the one other advantage of Oyster over contactless is that we (LUL station staff) can, with some stipulations, correct a journey that hasn't been completed or if you enter/exit the same station for some reason. We're not supposed to do the former but it depends on the circumstances. If there is a service disruption I will tend to re-credit the Oyster card. We don't have the ability to do that on Contactless, everything is done remotely via Customer Services.

I think I was in Block 524 for the JPT final - I didn't mind being up that high. Though I did spend a lot of time people watching instead of fully watching the game. I can go to this one, which is rare, so I hope I can get a ticket with just one home fixture I've been to this season and membership. I see people saying that anyone that wants a ticket will get one so that's comforting. I plan on coming alone anyway because I'm billy no mates. 😁

Purely hypothetical, but if we beat City we will have won more games as a Championship team against Premier League opposition this season than we did last season as a Premier League team. Madness, but even if we lose, we're level on wins from last season and it does show the current team can mix it up with the big boys if we go up.

I've given him a few games and now I can judge him. I like him. I like him a lot. Pace, strength, eye for goal, decent in the air and on the ground. Not perfect but this is the Championship and I think he's a very good Championship player. Much as Ross is when he's fit. It's a shame Archer isn't showing his nippy, early career form as then we'd have three good strikers fighting it out.

Another way to phrase that is the drop in quality between Peretz and, currently, Jamie Jones is bloody massive compared to the drop in quality for the rest of the team. Azaz is a hugely key player but Matsuki can play there, likewise Leo to Edozie. Downes to Charles and even THB to Wood (though perhaps more so than the rest).
