At what point are the club going to invest in Dyson airblades?
SNSUN replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
I read that as "No joop, no poop" and thought they were really playing hardball... -
Ramirez?

I always thought Aaron Martin looked OK in League One when I saw him. I fully expect him to ply his trade there more permanently when he leaves us. Not academy, but Richard Hall was only 19 when he joined us, and went on to do well for us. Before West Ham got their hands on him and his career ended prematurely.

I personally think this game has a draw written all over it, but with the injuries coming to an end, irrespective of their new manager choice, we have the ability to nick this. 2 winnable games coming up, and if we have ANY aspirations of keeping up with the top 8, we need to win both.

Was that Johnson backing off? Allardyce said he had a good game. :-D

Lallana's vs Burnley, if we go on to win the cup. :-)

FA Cup 4th round draw - Sunday 2pm - HOME v YEOVIL TOWN
SNSUN replied to The Kraken's topic in The Saints
Pleased with that. Good chance for the 5th round. (No disrespect to Yeovil who will be giving us as good as they get!) -

Not particularly though I've read all of this: http://underground-history.co.uk/front.php, mainly because I find history interesting and some of these stations are stuck in the time period from when they were closed. Occassionally the chance for staff to go down Aldwych comes up, but I've not taken them up on it yet. Some stations are there for all to see - Osterley and Spring Grove is literally 200 feet away from the "new" (current) Osterley, and you can see one from the other. Not much remains, the platforms are used as the cable runs now, and you can see which building used to be the booking hall, but that's about it. Now as for ghosts on the Underground - that's above my pay grade - it's the Supervisors that work nights that could tell you about one or two things they've seen or heard... :-)

A tough run of fixtures and injuries to key areas, that's our problem. We're still playing relatively well. Get the injured back, get the easier run of fixtures, and maybe add to personnel in one or two areas, and we'll be fine. Top 10 finish still on the cards.

In: 31st (Ooh keep us waiting...) Out: 6th (It'll be announced, though the deal will have been agreed on Saturday.)

This good enough? :-D

Superb modding on the cusp of a New Year. Big Brother is watching you! Happy New Year all! I'm home with my wife, and a ton of booze and snacks, and I couldn't be happier. (I'm officially old at 33.)

We found one of this season's best Premier League centre backs for a similar amount at the age of 24. Of course it would be pot luck or a damn good bit of scouting to find someone as good as Lovren has been but in attack, but it is doable. This is massively conflicting for a Saints fan! Let's hope it's all rumour. We're probably better off not having known this!
-
He's nearly 32. £8 million is an insane amount of money for him. If this is true, and the bid comes in, I can't see us not accepting. We all love Rickie, what he's done for us since he arrived beggars belief. He'll be known for years to come as a key player in our rise up the leagues. But £8 million is obscene for a player of his age whose best days are perhaps behind him. Maybe I'm tipsy and it's ruining my judgement but I'd have to take the money and reinvest it into another striker.
-
I wouldn't give much credence to our score, in a report that lists Wes Brown as Swansea's best player! :-D Personally I'd give us an 8. Injuries have blotted our season but we are a very good team when all fully fit. We obviously need to strengthen sensibly in January and get the likes of Wanyama and Boruc back asap.

England will take Lallana, JRod, Lambert, JWP, Shaw, Clyne and Morgan to the World Cup.

Not if the Manchester City sheikhs get their way! http://www.football.co.uk/manchester_city/lionel_messi_is_coming_to_manchester__rss4545683.shtml Mmm, Messi and Aguero. Nice. (Not for the rest of us...) As for Mackay, I do believe he's better off out of there. Some of us know what it's like to work for a boss who's a ***t, it's not a pleasant enviroment. He'll replace Hughton at Norwich IMO, who's woefully underachieving with that squad.
-
I wouldn't use "Grant Holt" and "Quality" in the same sentence. The bloke was a battering ram with an eye for goal. Rickie has a far more football-intelligent brain than Holt. This is the media's comparison too, and it rings false to anyone that's actually seen both play. Sure, as Rickie gets older he'll not be as good as we've seen of him in the past, but IMO he still has a job to do at Southampton for the foreseeable future. A big transfer fee though for a 32 year old may sway things a tad....

I see Stoke have shot themselves in the foot with two sendings off when they were winning 1-0. :-D
-
Well this will empty my LAdbrokes account, but I don't care! I'm stuck at work, it's busier than it has been in ages and I can't follow the game (except for this few minutes breather) but if we keep winning, and winning handsomely, it will be money, and time, well spent!
-
Boom! I reckon that if you spout enough guff, you'll eventually be right once! :-D

7 for me, but depends on whether we get the injured players back, or at least don't lose any more.
