Maybe I took it too far. Skates to go down, West Ham to stay down! Much better.
-
I know I sometimes have rose-tinted specs about my team, but when we talk about promotion, mostly it's "if". With West Ham, it's "when". They set up a celebration boat cruise before even the turn of the year. We haven't. The West Ham fan I work with "hopes we get second" behind them. It all adds to my annoyance.

My post wasn't just based on that article. I read KUMB from time to time and their arrogance is there for all to see.

Closure technically can be achieved when we achieve promotion back to the Premier League, and get rid of Forecast! In my mind, when we hit rock bottom in League One, clawing our -10 points back, I knew after that we'd see nothing but positives. I was right - we've had sensible investment, the signing of decent players and something to cheer about every season since, amd will hopefully continue to do so.
-
Yet another cocky example of West Ham assuming their promotion is already sewn up. My God how I would love to see them falter. This season (and this season only) if you offered me Pompey to stay up and West Ham to stay down, or the other way around, I'd choose West Ham and Pompey to start next season in the nPC. West Ham have so much arrogance it annoys me.

For us, I agree. Broken hearted, shattered, tired, demoralised. I actually feel sorry for them - they did so well to pull it back to 2-2 when most of the team couldn't even walk.

He'll have a part to play yet. We need every player for the run in, and we haven't seen the best of him yet. He can't be costing us much in wages surely, so he's a minimal risk.
-
Good signing for them. Shows money doesn't always buy you success though.

I agree. Holt isn't as good as Rickie IMO, but Holt has been playing in the higher league this season. Anyone can see Rickie's class though, he would do a great job for England. Graham should get his chance, but it's a great time to try new players. (Come on, call up Adam!)

I was a semi-regular there a few years ago. Either I was always unlucky enough to get their B-team, or that was how it ws always done.

You sell TCWTB's bell. Collect £5 from Saints fans who'll melt it down, turn it into a dildo, and shove it up the bum of TC.

If you offered me a 17th placed finish in the Prem next season now, I'd bite your fricking hand off. Yes please!

Community Chest - You open an offshore account in your dog's name. Pocket £500k. This card doubles as a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card.

Gay Zombies attack Brighton. Brightonites turn on Zombies, Zombies run to Portsmouth, feel at home, settle down with their new Skate wives. The title will be Zombandits.

I've sung "God save the Queen" at St Pauls many a time, in front of Her Majesty, (and once at Hampton Court Palace) with the full trumpet fanfare blaring out at the beginning. It sends a chill down your spine, I can tell ye, and thus I am biased. On the topic of others, is it the German national anthem that goes on forever? I get so bored of that at the end of the F1 races.

Coventry need point to stay up and relegate Skates
SNSUN replied to Nadia Sllim's topic in The Saints
I think even if we played the youth, with the intention of drawing against Coventry, we'd still win, because when I've seen Coventry play they've been truly awful. I think though that whatever happens, we'll need all three points on that last day of the season, and I think Pompey will be down before that. Their ten point deduction will have been a massive boost to those clubs scrambling around at the bottom. -
Echoing the annoying egotistical nature of the West Ham fans, who've apparently known they were getting promoted back to the top flight since they left it last May, I pose a hypothetical question to you. It's April 28th 2012, around 3pm, and Saints have finished the season in an auto-promotion spot. How will you celebrate on the day, and how will you celebrate for the rest of the summer? Points for inventiveness.

This blog popped up on NewNow, I don't know whether the author is a Saints fan, or whether he's just very observant, but it's a good read. It's nothing we didn't already know, but I like reading positive stuff about our club. http://thisisfutbol.com/2012/02/blogs/the-top-five-reasons-why-southampton-f-c-will-be-in-the-premier-league-next-season

It's not part of the school, it's part of the grounds, anyone can use it I believe, I don't remember us getting to choose Golf as an activity. (It wouldn't have mattered, I was football mad, even playing football during the Rugby season.)

We will go up in second. West Ham, despite their irritating egotism, will go up first, and after the season we've had, we deserve to go up in second. Hopefully we continue to earn the right to do so. I'd love it if we finish first, but West Ham are annoyingly unbeatable. Play-Offs are a possibility, but I think our team, nay our squad, is strong enough and talented enough to cope.

The only two staff still there from my time (13 years ago!) is the headmaster and his deputy. We had some dodgy teachers, I believe one ended up stacking shelves in Tesco's for doing something naughty. It's not posh, but it costs a lot to go to - mind you I was on a music scholarship so it didn't matter, but I went from a very promising musician when I went there to not giving a toss about music by the time I left. The grounds are what sells the school though - I'd love to have a go on that golf course.

I'll try nd get this thread deleted. Bear with me...

Three bad scorelines for us tonight, but the plus is Blackpool losing. I consider them more of a threat than Boro so them losing is a good result.

HAHAHAHA Funny as ****! But it shows how dangerous not having a sub keeper is. Is that 3 players sent off for West Ham in 3 games? Dirty team, like Brighton.
