  1. Oops, during Saints games I can't make of course!
  2. Smashing result. I will henceforth be doing all my ironing during Saints games as I started it after the second Dons goal. Had 4-2 on the prediction league too, not ten points but still... Comebacks are always sweet but I'm wearing out the edge of my seats. More leads please Saints! Huddersfield must be worried... surely?
  3. Been doing ironing since MK Dons got their second. This shall be my ritual during Saints games. Lucky ironing will also help me get lucky with the missus, which can only be a good thing.
  4. Game over. Season over. Life over. Dead...
  5. We're like irritable bowel syndrome, we have a lot of good days but sometimes we get caught out unexpectedly and poo comes out...
  6. A riot in Southampton, over the rising cost of a tin of Spam, between students, botanists and greengrocers, spills onto the St Mary's pitch after the big gate is left open by a hapless groundsman. Rising from the directors box, as if with a halo of light behind him, is Cortese who begs for calm. Tins of Spam's replacement meat, Spum, are thrown at Cortese, who ducks, and one tin knocks a nearby candle and burns St Mary's to the ground. Saints are forced to ground share Fratton Park, and our good home form is shattered. It could happen... though I hope it doesn't.
  7. The New Saints? St Johnstone? Or did they specify us? Ps, they're my first names minus the s, but I am not 16, so I can confirm it's not me.
  8. What a great day. I remember some on here thinking it was a record number of fans for one team at Wembley - was that true and did any official media outlets acknowledge our support?
  9. White Lightning and weed...
  10. I fink dat we shud get behind da team innit and win it 4 Markus. Whoop whoop Saint til I die Lolzzzzzzz
  11. I can't wait to start making mini SNSUN's and warping their little minds to support Saints. The biggest barrier is my darling fiancee and her Norwich supporting ways. Unlike myself, the only Saints fan in my family, her whole family is from, and supports, Norwich. Except her uncle, who's a Leeds fan. It's a challenge I look forward to facing!
  12. They would take the points? So they'd be ten points clear of us but we'd have six games on hand - I'd take that for us anyday. Games in hand are not a burden, they're just games like any other. I'm still fairly confident we can do this.
  13. 3 games, pick any three of our last ten games to use as our games in hand and I'm confident of six or more points.
  14. Make the most of it, the footballless summer months will bring boredom aplenty.
  15. 1-1 against Charlton would've been a good result on Boxing Day, and whilst Charlton's form has been iffy I still think a point the other day was a good result. I think it'll be a tight finish to the season, a one point job, and we can look back on that point and see it in a positive light. My mind is drawn to the narrow escape we had from relegation in the CCC in 2008. West Brom aced that league, and yet we somehow picked up a point in the penultimate game thanks to Adam's strike which laid the platform for our last day escape. 10 games to go is still too far out to decide how we'll finish. In five games time, we'll have a much clearer picture.
  16. We have the squad imo. Forte, Stephens, N'Guessan, Connolly, Guly, Richardson, Dickson, Martin and Seaborne may all have massive parts to play in these last ten games...
  17. It'd be interesting to see the others finish their season without us playing another game, then play our last ten knowing what we need. Hmm, I'm bored too.
  18. I was thinking avoiding relegation on the last day but, sure, i'll go glass half full with your suggestion!
  19. It has been driven into us as Saints fans in the last few years not to expect anything good to happen, to suffer when something seemingly good happens, to worry about winning even when we're 2 or 3 goals up in a match. Saints fans doubt our ability to go up because of this, but to any neutral, we're in prime position. That's the problem for me, I hate us being the favourite for anything. Not to say it won't happen of course, it probably will, the JPT final showed us that favourites can win. Last season, we had that to cheer, this season we may have promotion to cheer. Next season...
  20. Lallana, sod the injuries, we've struggled without him in the side for a reason. Keep him until he retires and he has the potential to win every player of the season award no matter what division we're in. Premiership quality imo.
  21. I can't remember which opposition messageboard said it, but Barnard is one of those players you'd much rather have playing for your side than against it. That, to me, is high praise indeed. If the opposition are frustrated with him, he's doing his job very well. Lambert is class, but Barnard is a natural finisher. Ok, maybe his positioning isn't World Class, but he works so hard he tends to find position eventually. He'd be automatic choice if I were manager, if we lose him at the tail end of the season it'll be a big loss.
  22. First of 3 signings before 5pm. Good stuff. I am not itk...
  23. Good penalty takers would be key in a play off final... Still good stats. Our midfielders score because they have a good team around them with plenty of chances on offer. Oldham aren't the worst team ever but I would imagine chances are harder to come across. Then we look at Morgan's goal stats ... I would personally take either of Stephens and Howard, or both!
  24. Damn, thought this thread was about Skacel. False alarm people.
  25. Time is pressing, but we've still got about half an hour until Twitter announces something. And if not, Anthony Pulis anyone?
