This is old news. We needed a striker to replace long term absentee Connolly, we got Barnard and also Waigo hit form.

This is the first time I've had internet access since before last night's game, and I've been so itching to get on here! What a night. The players were brilliant, the pitch was brilliant and the atmosphere was brilliant. The Northam were in fine voice. In my spot in the Kingsland, it was fairly subdued, I felt very self concious about singing when no one else was (hence after the Hartlepool game I'm going to relocate to the Itchin North most likely who were also brilliant last night) but by the end of the game, everyone was getting onvolved. And WHAT a performance. Flawless. We made a very good side look poor, though, not to take anything away from Huddersfield, who had chances and possession, we didn't allow them to play. We were on every ball, we were winning every tackle, and everything just clicked. All XI players, and the three subs should give themselves a pat on the back BUT, and this is key, not get complacent and expect this to happen in every game. It was the first time I've had the chance to see Puncheon and Semi play, and Oh My God were they good. Puncheon especially is sheer quality. Some of his touches to keep possession were Premiership quality, and he really is two footed. His link up play with Semi on the right was good too. Semi, who I've never seen play before had a very competent game. He's very quick, and was always willing to go forward. In the abscence (perhaps permanently) of Murty, it's good to see a right back play at right back. Semi wasn't flawless, he did make one or two errors, but atoned for them swiftly. Choosing a MOTM is nearly impossible, as every player was brilliant. I'm not giving them ratings, because everyone was a ten, but if I did have to pick a MOTM at gunpoint, then I would pick Barnard. Punch seems the obvious choice, but I though Barnard was superb, fighting for every ball, he didn't stop running, showed some excellent touches and his finish was not what you would expect of a short bloke. Words cannot express how elated I felt after the game. Perform like this all season and there's no reason we can't attempt the play-offs. My head says they're out of reach, but my heart is looking up in earnest.

...is the new Crystal Palace manager now that Warnock has gone to QPR. Does this guy get a thrill from managing clubs in trouble? First Poopy, then QPR and now Palace. Best of luck to him but, despite Palace's lowly position, I think he's got the best job of the three that he's had this season.

Doing shiftwork, I get to see lot of daytime telly. It's dross, but some shows aren't too bad. To Buy Or Not To Buy is one of them that's passably watchable, although usually with Ed Hall as the better entertainer. Sad to hear he's died, he'd only just finished building his dream home too. RIP

Tha Fat Controller - if you've set up your own ticket hotline on this number and I don't get my ticket on or after March 15th, I'm going to eat you. ;-)

It's ok lads, Carlisle just extended the loan of a Stoke midfielder. He must be so used to playing in the red and white stripes with a bunch of former Saints that he'll consistantly pass to us. In addition, we're approximately one billion, four hundred thousand, six hundred and forty two times better than Carlisle.

I'm actually laughing out loud at some of these posts. Pompey really are a comedy writer's dream! Talk about kicking a club while they're down! Everyone wading in to boot Pompey's motionless carcass in the bum. More of the same please.

They don't have any fans, ergo no delays for people getting into the stadium. No TV cameras either, so they don't make the rules. In fact, no one can even prove that Scottish football even exists. Certainly judging by Neil McCann's silky skills... In seriousness, I'd often wondered this. Ten minute half time. Answers a lot. It's not long enough though, even the good old 15 minutes sometimes seems too shortt...

lol @ p0mp3y if it's true.

No. Whiney, annoying *****. So her husband knobbed around a bit. Big deal, he's a man, he can do what he wants. Women. Tut tut.

When the lady asked where I wanted to sit, I just said I didn't care, as long as I bloody get a ticket. I don't know whether my understanding of the difference in the £24 and £34 ticket seats is correct, but I chose the £34 ticket as she told me it was close to the centre line. Which is good, because in SMS terms, I prefer being in the Kingsland. (As I will be tomorrow and vs Hartlepool.)

Otsemobor I believe bears the Christian name of Jon.

Sod the CCC, currently Fonte is Premiership quality. Looking forward to taking my first look at Puncheon tomorrow to see how he rates. You could forgive me for thinking that, as he's played in Serie A, and could do better in the bigger leagues, that Waigo may be Premiership class, although he's been inconsistant down here in League One.

524-527 on my tod, so anyone sitting next to me better be slim. :-) Stupid ****ing mobile reception, she kept saying "I can't hear you, you're breaking up, I'll have to cut you off!" **** that, I was almost pleading at one stage. Anyway, it's done. If they go to general sale next week, I'll get 4 more (as I could only get one) and flog this one! :-) Props to the OP with that number. Beerage from all I should think...

I'm a ****, I got through to the dialing tone on the above number and pressed the off button on my mobile. **** ****************

If the tickets are all gone by the time I finish work, get home and phone in, I'm going to do something which, if I mention it on here, would probably get the OB knocking on my door... ...and then I'll kill you all. :-)

Why is nothing I do EVER good enough? Stupid bints the lot of them. Plus they smell.

I'd love to do a survey of Man U fans - I reckon the majority of them couldn't tell you the name of Newton Heath in the first place... ...and half of them can't even speak English...

Norwich will be making a profit this year...

Everyone at Southampton should just take the phone off the hook and go on holiday for two months. :-) (Leave Pulis, Lancashire and Molyneux outside Fratton Park with a "You can have these for nowt" sign.)

Just seen the highlights on IPlayer. Barnards second was the goal of the game. Brilliantly taken.

We have the funding to keep all our players. Unless a bid comes in which is ridiculous, such as £5million for Lallana, then the only way we would have to sell is if the player wanted to go. Keep them sweet, cheer them on and show them all how much we appreciate them!
-
We'll need a CM, a pacy striker, and another CB IMO, with most likely a RB of we don't keep Semi. CM is the most important area, and it'd be a playmaker. Shock move for Richard Chaplow or (even more of a shock considering which league he's going to end up in) Wes Hoolahan!

The season is already over, barring the JPT Final, in terms of which league we'll be in next season. Just forget the play-offs, enjoy the final, and enjoy each game as it comes. These last few games of the season are all about practise for next season. Let the first team play together as much as possible so they become nearly telepathic for next season, and FFS don't sell any of them in the summer! Massively looking forward to the Huddersfield game. After the disappointment of the Pompey game, I've been itching to get back to St Mary's, and now even more so after Saturday's win. This'll be a tough'un, it won't be as nearly as open as the Walsall game, Huddersfield are, by all intense and purpose, better than Walsall, and we much expect a tough game. Perform solid defensively, and we've always got that quality to nick a goal. This'll be the sort of game where the big players stand up and get counted - and I think there'll be a Lambert goal. I'm going for a tight game, 2-1.

I'm happy with him. I do hope he's our manager for a long time to come, HOWEVER I wouldn't be the bit slightest if we let him go if we're not in the top 6 by Christmas. I would share that view too...
