Anyone else starting to worry about fixture pile-up ?
SNSUN replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Doesn't anybody smoke weed anymore? Que sera sera... Take it one game at a time, concentrate on winning, and the league position takes care of itself. Despite being historically adept at shooting ourselves in the foot when it really matters, there's no reason why this Saints team can't go unbeaten for the rest of the season. -
St Mary's is bigger than 9 current Premier League Clubs grounds'!

Pedant alert - it's now the nPC, not CCC. I love St Mary's, I'm still in awe when I go in, but I'd be suprised if we ever enlarged it. It certainly wouldn't need doing unless we are Europe contenders. -
Lol I could've done a better job. One of the rare times an injury to a player improved the side.

Forte should be there...
-
Nah, just getting the match report in early in case this game gets called off!
-
Meh, Lallana has had an extra 4 days to get fit after injury, should be a walk in the park. 3-1 Saints, Lambert to open the scoring on 12 minutes with a penalty, Guly to bang in a 30 yarder after 63 minutes, and Lallana to complete the rout on 69 minutes with a simple tap in following good work by Fonte. (Although there will be suspicions of offside.) Sweeney to score for them on 89, an undeserved consolation. MOTM Lallana.

Depends. Hit form straight away and the games can't come soon enough. Struggle for form initially, and confidence could be dented, and then we'd be desperate for a break. We have a good squad, no reason why we can't rotate it a bit to give tired legs a break. Jaidi, for instance, would almost definitely struggle to play 4 matches in 11 days. -
I will go for many lucky fags/wees/poos as I believe it enhances our chances, when it doesn't really.

We saw in his absence in January and at the start of the season how key he is for us - Adam. No promotion this season could mean losing both, and Morgan and Fonte. Promotion is vital.

Niemi was the best keeper in the world when he was here. Triple save vs Arsenal made me moist.

I'd take 17 in fact! I can't help thinking Charlton are the team to be worried about. They could quite easily get their act together and we could find them above us in the final league standings. Brighton are far from untouchable, but right now they are not our concern. We can re-assess them with 5 games to go or so. We have our fate in our own hands, taking it a game at a time might just save me from a premature heart attack.

RIP brother. My thoughts go to his family. May his spirit lead SMS through great times.

Runners up but it won't be an easy ride and we cannot afford any more Brentford/Tranmere style cockups.
-
I must admit I thought about this recently. I read a report saying he's so desperate to play he'd even drop leagues to do it.

I thought Pedant meant loving children. My grasp of the English language is slipping away.

Tis good, nearly blew my eardrums out as the volume on my earphones is a lot different than listening to Saints Player!

Scratch that, was an advert...

I'm on mobile broadband which is a tad slow, and have a big white line in the middle of the screen. Is this normal? Does it bugger off?

4-4!!! Gutted Geordies (those that left). This is why you NEVER leave a game early!
-
Gutted the Newcastle fans that walked out after 27 minutes. Now 3-4 to Arsenal...

TBF, after selling Carroll, they're left with Lovenkrands, Ameobi, Best and Ranger. Not Premiership attacking quality by any means. Will be lucky to stay in the division. Amazing Premiership scores today though. Thanks for the streams guys, competely passed me by that we were on Sky tonight and as a result have double booked myself so can only watch the first half... Me = ***t.

Blackpool now losing. I hope Blackpool fans realise the honeymoon period won't last. Unbelievable that he scored in the Premiership. Had he not thrown the strop, he'd have played against Man Utd last week. Hey ho, glad he's gone, the arrogant, big bummed, inconsistant git.

Pulis could do a job for them...

Barney in court today, according to the Echo

I agree. I'd rather find out now than lose him towards the end if the season.
