  1. Lordy if Murty is out for a long time, that means another right back on the shopping list. CB, RB, LM, RM, ST, ST. Six signings in a week? (In Macauley Culkin-esque fashion) "I don't think so".
  2. Hell I hope they don't go in extra time tonight. I should be doing some work, and my shift finishes at half ten...
  3. Funnily enough, I have a similar problem - all food I eat turns to shyte.
  4. 35 minutes to go yet, TDD. Big confidence boost if we win though. Birmingham may have injury troubles but they still have a strong team out there tonight...
  5. Meh, he's rubbish. Drop him.

    Where's Holmes?

    Elementary, dear Watson.

I'd still take him with bells on.
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8221451.stm Breaking news on the BEEB
  9. I was trying to tune my work radio into Upton Park Supervisor's frequency but I don't think it works. Sadly. I never get any action at Heathrow. :smt019
  10. Make it count lads! Let's get one before half time, a Wotton long ranger. :-D
  11. Picquionne having a good game for Pompey. Apparently scored a wonder goal and has just got an assist for their second. Mock him no more - it's giving him a will to play well!
  12. You slightly beat me to it there...
  13. Delays on the District Line (I'm stuck at work). Apparently Upton Park Tube station is taking it from all angles tonight - the Millwall fans have attacked the West Ham fans with whatever they can get their hands on. Not much of a suprise really. Apparently the Police attempt to make them use seperate exits backfired...
  14. It's done to fool the tourists. Which isn't too much of a stretch tbf.
  15. I believe, a few years down the road, that the apparent lawlessness in this country in some areas will promote vigilante justice. I wouldn't honestly be suprised if this genuinely did happen, people getting together and taking matters into their own hands.

Not the Reading guy, Alex? Terrible - I saw him against Palace at Selhurst Park and he was shyte. I actually felt sorry for Kelvin having Pearce stood in front of him The others I agree with. Loans can be hit and miss, but by and large they are good players that for one reason or another just cannot get into their teams. Perry was a loan too, and we've so far got a season out of him. Lucketti was the much needed steel at the back for our escape from relegation from the CCC. Vignal wasn't rated to start with, but made the left back slot his own, but Chaplow was one of my favourite loans we've had. Shame we couldn't sign him as WBA had tons of midfielders at the time. Then there was Ekelund...
  17. Notts County found a loophole with regards to Campbell and the wage cap - SSN seems to think that you can break the wage cap in League Two IF the wages are given as part of a donation from a wealthy benefactor. Which means, I think, if the rich bloke pulls ouf of Notts County before Campbell's contract expires, they're fooked. In terms of our club, I'm looking forward to deadline day next Tuesday. We sure as hell better sign someone that day as I'll be glued to SSN ALL DAY! ( until 5pm when the window closes...)

    Where's Holmes?

Thought he was injured. Either way people on here seem to think that Pardew doesn't rate him. Which, if this is the case, means we need to add a left winger to the shopping list as Mills cannot play there all season, and we sure as hell can't keep using Lallana out of position. (Well we can, but...)
  19. Thanks for the goals Rasa but my goodbye is tearless. Like Saga, he came in, did well, got signed, did ok, and then got loaned out. I wouldn't be suprised if Saga followed him out shortly. A frantic last week of the transfer window.

  22. I too have him in the Sanderson kit. Think i had one of the others too, but it was so long ago i can't remember. Benali? Anyway i wouldn't part with it for less than he's worth!
  23. My apologies for not knowing about the cup tied players, i'm greatly looking forward to every game at the moment and got carried away. That said, i don't have full internet access at the moment as i don't actually have the internet at all, i use my phone which is extremely limited in its usage and means bigger sites like the OS are inaccessible to me. Heck my phone bill has more than doubled since the Pinnacle proposal, as i eagerly log on to here to check out takeover updates and signings. In future i will wait until others have been ridiculed before i post, saving me from the embarrassment of having it done myself. I hope this makes things better.
  24. Irrespective of which set of fans you think you come from, downbeat or keeping the faith, we have a welcome break from the League thanks to the League Cup. So what do you reckon of this game? I'm actually quite looking forward to testing the team against Prem opposition. I genuinely think they'll raise their game. Keep the first team in place, don't take the competition lightly, a win here could be a major confidence boost. My team would be: Davis Musty (or James if not fit) Thomas Trots Harding Mellis Hammond Morgan Lallana Lambert Saga I wouldn't play Paterson as i think one of the Poles could have more of an impact against Prem opposition. I couldn't possibly make a prediction, it's near impossible to predict, but i think'll it'll be closer than it is on paper.

    Oasis

Apparently a lot of people we're p.o'd when they cancelled their gig at the V festival on Sunday, due to Liam's 'viral larangytus'. So nothing to do with the boys screaming their heads off at the Man City game 24 hours earlier then...
