Channel 4 digital teletext has us listed as finishing 14th today. I'd agree with that currently. Heart however reckons we can be 8th-12th

If we get a statue of ML our saviour, can we employ the guy that did the first TB statue... In all seriousness we're not the first and certainly not the last club to suffer through finances. I don't want us to splurge to achieve success, steady growth is safer.

It's an interview with Chris Perry. They're going to experiment on him with a new stretching technique to make him 6'5''.

Looking forward to signing old Ruddy Juddy. Next stop the Champions League!
-
I'd actually say, with Rasiak and Saga due to depart, we're more in need of strikers than defenders, but I'll be happy to see anyone come in.

I think we have one or two of the best 50 players in League One this season, but if i could bring one in it'd be a goal machine. Beckford.

Everyone seems so scared of Millwall on Saturday that they simply MUST be champions this season.

Spose, would be nice to have Jamelia knocking about...

I genuinely think this is one of the biggest problems of some of the negativity of the fans on here. For far too long Southampton FC has been under a cloud, near-successive relegations and poor performances have done nothing to raise a Saints fan's spirit. We've become a bunch of complainers, of bitter, ripped off fans who have paid through the nose to watch tripe. And I applaud those who have. Without them the club would've been gone long ago. Now however we have a new dawn. It's almost the end of Southampton FC as we knew it, and in its place we have a bright outlook, a well run club with a good young manager and financially stable, but with the same Saints spirit, will to be better, and to top it off we still have Premiership facilities and a decent academy. The team will come. Sure, it's not perfect, and there is still some question over the more saleable assets of the team, but now is the time to be positive. Support from the fans is key, not because I or anyone else says so, but because we should support the inanimate object in our lives that we love the most. (Except those of you with mansions and sports cars etc!) How relieved were we to find out we'd found a buyer, someone to save the club and prevent us from spending our Saturday's in B&Q because of a lack of excuse to give the missus/partner. I understand the gloom, but patience is the key. Rome wasn't built in the day, the wars weren't won in a week and even Matt Le Tissier took 16 years to hone his craft. Our time will come, unity is the key. UTS! (Rush of blood to the head...)

We must all chip in to buy this piece of Saints history. Then, hopefully, if there is any of his DNA on it, we could make a new Ali Dia, combining his DNA with Matt Le Tiss's. Then who'll be laughing at us... :-D

Thierry, the greatest Gunner of them all. (And wouldn't it be so incredibly camp shouting "Thierry, COME!" across the park...)
-
Awww I saw the thread title and was hoping it was Eddie Jordan. Shame...

I swear to God these are Moobs and not implants... ahem...

He's back in Derby's first team, a key player for them this season says Nigel Clough.

It was in the People apparently, the most reliable of saw-sez. And picked up by the BBC gossip column. Guess it'll be announced tomorrow. Can't blame him for wanting to stay in the CCC. It seems Zak Whitbread and Jermaine Beckford wish the same. It'll be mightily difficult to tempt players to join our revolution, but hopefully in AP we have the man to do it.

Middlesbrough have won the race to sign Lita beating Sheffield United in the process. It shows we've been setting our HCDAJFU sights high, but i'm happy with that. We should be setting our sights high for the future. Sadly for the Sharp fans, it means United won't want to sell until they have a replacement.

This is a new level for us, we don't know where our team will be at in 6 days, and we don't know much about the teams we'll play. So prediction is near impossible at this stage. Ask me on the day, but a confident 2-0 Saints will be nice.

Work Work Work as per. Although I might bunk off to build James May's Lego House.

I'm just glad to be alive. God punishes dickheads, and I've made it to 28 years.
-
All of which we have a month to sort out. And longer with loans...
-
I didn't say play-offs, I just don't think we'll be languishing in the bottom half, especially as I expect Pardew to strengthen before the end of August. In that, I was adding that Saga and Rasiak are still here, which more than likely won't happen. Let's judge the team at the end of August, not before.
-
I'm glad I just have a team to support this season.
-
I don't normally comment but we are still a selling club!!!!

2nd. And now we have money we can hold out for top dollar for Lallana, Morgan et al. -
no money? I need sauce, sores, saws or Tom Soares

For the CCC yes, we'd be torn a new asshole if we were in the CCC, but we're in League One this season. While I doubt we'd last the whole season, with the team we currently have we'd easily finish in the top half.
