  1. Was Raynes having a good game before he went off? Having not seen him play, but having read a few things about him, I think he would be a good investment for the future.
  2. That depends - what have you got?
  3. Until we score again, I'm going to post pictures of puppies. I figure this could work...
  4. lol I noticed that last night when Millwall were winning. Was trying to work out where all Millwall's points had come from!
  5. - Set to join Middlesbrough (they're nicking all the good free strikers)
  6. You don't get 5 points for a win...
  7. I expect presents, and I'm not budging til I get them.
  8. Thank me. :-D I logged on at the exact second Lambo scored. I expect presents.
  9. What makes it worse is that this girl has given birth to two children, so has been raped at least twice, and most probably many more times. Perhaps the sickest story of child abduction though is Joseph Fritzl. To abduct a child is one thing, to rape a child is another, but raping your own daughter repeatedly for 26 years (I think it was) and having multiple children with her is perhaps sicker than anything your imagination could comprehend.
  10. Oh naturally, so would we all, but my point was that Reading aren't going up this year. I'd be suprised if they even finished in the top half. We should've said £500k up front and £500k if they avoid relegation. :-)
  11. They won't. So that's half a mill then.
  12. You're a bit behind the times there - he's gone to Reading.
  13. As it stands, I think we NEED 4. To have a great squad, we NEED 6. I think we'll bring in 3 more though, one signing and two loans, perhaps a CF, a RB and a CB. Sadly our wont for a winger will go unrecognised.
  14. They'll be getting it in the womb, as I deck my missus on occassion.
  15. "Bang, and the Dirt is Gone!" = I find this philosophy also works with a shotgun.
  16. Ah, the time of year for people to say "they're getting easier". I always loved these couple of weeks when I worked for a private hire boat company. We used to get the A-Level leavers and GCSE leavers parties, with some insanely nice totty on board. Sigh, how I wished I was still there, and not earning proper money.
  17. It's wouldn't've been so bad if there had actually been any olive oil in it, could've fried up some consolation chips...
  18. I think it ended up to be more about having him off the wage bill than having the transfer money. He didn't want to play for us, so we couldn't have held on for more money, or we'd have had a whinging pole sitting in the reserves all season, earning a fortune.
  19. Reading are my tip for CCC underachievers of the season this season. They have sold many of their good players this summer including Stephen Hunt, and Kevin Doyle is no longer there either. The team that got them promoted has largely been torn apart. Rasiak should do well for them if he can get goals, and we know he can, but I still don't think they'll be in the play-offs this season. Brendon Rodgers is a good young manager, but this is a season of transistion for them. It's a shame to see him go. He is a natural goalscorer, and if League status didn't matter to him and he was happy to stay, he would have been a good asset for us to keep. That said, we're in dire need of a pacy striker, and hopefully with the wages this frees up, we can bring one in. What with Saga? With him and Rasa desperately battling for a spot in the World Cup, it seems now like Rasa has the upper hand with playing in the higher league. I still predict Saga will go by deadline day, but if we do keep him, I hope he plays his nuts off, even if it is just to get him noticed for his International team. I'm sure Pardew has his targets, but it worried me the other day when he said he was looking at a couple more recruits. I would personally think we need about six now - another CB, a RB (even a loan, to fill in while Murty is out), a RM, a LM (of Pardew isn't going to use Holmes), and one or even two Strikers.
  20. I'd love to go to Ibiza, but I wouldn't go with a package company. I did 2wenty's in Kavos in 2002 when I was 21 and while the reps were very good and attentive, they certainly sting you for money when you go out there. Not to mention the alcohol they give you. I don't think I can hack heavy drinking much anymore, even at the ripe old age of 28. I can do maybe one night a week, but not seven. I'd want to go to Ibiza to relax, not to party. (Much)
  21. The other day, I found out my dad was on Facebook. He's 61. He doesn't know how to use it properly either, I know his password and his page was all over the place. He doesn't know that I know that he's on there, and I sure as hell aren't going to let him be my friend. (Stuff I don't want parents to see or hear about, even at 28!) To be fair, I think he's sick of my mum and is trying to track down some childhood sweethearts, but that's just specualtion. (Oh, and I wouldn't be suprised, my mum is a pain in the arse.)
  22. There are far too many feral kids and young adults in Britain at the moment. If you saw a feral animal, you'd put it down, why can't we do that with this lot?!!? It's quite often the parents that should get the blame, from an early age these kids are ignored by the parents and they go out and mingle with troublemakers. I saw a documentary about this lady who didn't care about her children, she shared her alcohol with them, shared her fags with them, let them do whatever they wanted basically. The kids were going out, tearing up the neighbourhood, jumping up and down on cars etc. It took threat of eviction and a fine to get the mother to start telling her kids off. Shocking. I'm not a parent yet, but so help me God as far as possible when I have kids I will make sure they grow up to be respectful, well rounded individuals. Or so help them!

No, tis so I can hear him in case he tries to steal my lunch.
  24. I wondered why he was off the screens! His replacement in the evening football slot was poor. It's good to have a Saints rep at SSN, long may he continue.
  25. We're not stupid like Notts County. While I don't know the terms of the deal, his contract must be for a hell of a lot of money for anyone outside the Premiership, and as such, if their rich owner pulls out of the team next summer, they have a 36 year old with a very expensive 4 year contract to do something with. Granted, it'd be nice to bring in one or two high profile names, but they come at a cost and, quite frequently, aren't willing to put in 100% for their wages.
