I could tear you a new arsehole if you really want to stand out from the crowd...

Saints will not screw it up - I just get the feeling we're laying to rest all the cliches that Southampton fans have to put up with season after season. In fact I get the feeling we'll be very good indeed. 3-0. It's just a shame I can only watch the first half before I have to go to work. :-(

Get well soon Mick. Could've been worse I suppose.

WHoever the Sky Sports "reporter" is at the moment is a moron. Doing a round up of last nights action, he said that League One side Southampton managed to upset Championship side Birmingham. I know we were shyte last season, but we did manage to stay up, right? Or did I miss something?

Not one of our players (though I have been racking my brains :-)) but Steve Watson used to play all over for Newcastle. Principally a right back, he was also utilised in midfield and in emergencies as a striker too. Darren Purse likewise, although he's now settled as a defender. It may just be faded memory but I think Alan Neilson used to play in different positions for us...

That too... :-)

Click on User CP and go to avatar options, then right mouse click over the avatar of your choice, copy the properties (the .gif bit) and paste into the avatar section. At least that's how I do it...

I noticed that. Really poor quality footage! It was like watching a match in the 70's. The Carling Cup highlights on ITV were shocking. You can't allocate 45 minutes to the programme, spend most of the time on one match (even if it was the "tie of the round"), gloss over a few others and completely ignore some. Terrible programme making. As others have said, Sky SPorts News had slightly longer coverage of the highlights! That said, anybody that wanted to see more could've gone to the game, but a lot of people, myself included were unable to for one reason or another. I'll be glad when the Beeb gets its hands on it.

Man Utd at Old Trafford would earn us a fair few quid, but I'd like to see us progress past the next round before playing the big teams, so a home tie against lower league opposition please! (I know, I know, it's the cup and little teams can beat bigger teams etc etc, but the way we're performing this season fills me with confidence.)

W00t we beat the Brum Bandits. 3 wins in a row on Saturday please. :-)

Did we score? Snigger

13 Forecast, 18 Dyer, 24 Lancashire, 34 White, 08 Wright-Phillips are the unused subs so far. I'd like to see Dyer get a run out. Fresh legs and pace...

How's Jack Cork doing, those of you listening to it?

Saints sign young Czech striker Tomas Pekhart on loan from Spurs
SNSUN replied to Wildgoose's topic in The Saints
According to the OS - "There was only one club Spurs wanted to send him to". Spin? Or are we really regarded that highly now that we've made the youth our number one priority? -
He came on at half time unless I'm reading something incorrectly...

I'm in the computer room at work (yes I'm supposed to be working), and it's sweltering in here. I was making do with 5Live ignoring us except when the goal went in, and now have given up and come on here. For the time being. 'Til my supervisor finds me anyway...

1-1 with a loss on penalties, but I'd love to see us win it in normal time. I just don't see Birmingham wanting the Carling Cup enough. Perhaps it's just me...

If we added a sell on clause and bought him back, we'd be giving ourselves money. ;-)
-
Bit premature saying that IMO.
-
We couldn't afford him - which while being the silver lining, is also intensely depressing.

Rate your bank holiday sunday..sponsered by hawkins voice

Friday - Very civilised but entertaining dinner with my missus, my best mate and his missus. Drove so couldn't drink, but appreciated sobriety more when seeing what wine does to people. 7/10 Saturday - Nice lunch followed by excellent Windsor races, the after race drinks marred by arguments and my missus going over on her ankle. 8/10 Sunday - Chilled out with some drinks and a DVD indoors. Kinda wish I'd gone out but was so tired by about 10pm I think we made the right decision. 6/10 Monday - Enjoyed my freedom before work today. 6/10 Overall probably 7/10, the overall rating pushed up by the fact that I spent £200 less than I thought I would. -
Eighteen points is entirely achievable IMO. Why rule it out, because we're not used to it? The next six games are all winnable, with the QPR away game being the one that sticks out as being the hardest. Heart says we can get 14 points, head says 12. Anything more than 10 and I will be content, though of course, being a Saints fan, I'm used to disappointment.
