  1. You make it sound as if you've been burned in this way before...
  2. :smt109
  3. I supported Liverpool in the mid-80's when I started primary school, because everyone else did. I saw the light, and the light was red and white.
  4. I thought it was a shyte film. If I want to watch a good film about an orphan, I watch Oliver.
  5. My missus's. I'm a lucky man aren't I! I wish...
  6. I got a bollocking from my olds once for using that to listen to a Saints game. Cost them a fortune.
  7. Signing injury prone players.
  8. Yeah been reading a bit more into this - it definitely seems the injury problems have halted the move. Good. We no longer sign crocks.
  9. I'm sure the NOTW will find some genuine ones in due course...
  10. Waiting for Skacel to sign... or are we still waiting?
  11. That'd do - and sort out the future of that position.
  12. This is what I reckon. Our new RB, whoever he is, will be the number one - and Harding, with his effort and good footballing brain, could be the back up right back - he's already proved he can play well there. As for left backs, we're ok now, we've got Harding, Mills, and now Dickson (if we have actually signed him), plus a left footed Seaborne can play there if needed. If it were me, and I'm not saying Pards won't do this, but I'd bring in a new quality right back AND a player that can play both at RB and CB - like Thomas.
  13. Brings us back to earth a bit. Just shows we can't persuade EVERYONE we want to come to SMS. On top of that - aside from Poyet saying he'd withdrawn their contract because of interest from Saints - did we really make much of a move for him?
  14. As a back up to Lambert yes. But he won't want to play back up to Lambert. A back up to Lambert has to be a young, eager player, preferably playing in a lower league. On top of that, as has been said, he's Huddersfield through and through.
  15. It doesn't speak volumes for my boarding school but I went to school with him. I swear we don't all sound like that - he was a one off - when the rest of us all dressed down into casula clothing after school, he used to change from his uniform into a suit and tie. He was quite elitest, aqlways though he was better than others. Not the worst bloke in the world, conversationally ok, but he won't have many fans.
  16. Ponty - no, the arts forum is my least viewed forum!
  17. Love it or hate it, it's back. 13 weeks of trying to avoid it like the plague will be tough, but at least it's the last one. Will you be watching? No sexy twins this year for me, instead I have an old school colleague of mine in there, Ben Duncan. I don't think many people will like him... Oh bollix to it - here's a pic of the twins anyway.
  18. My farts are so loud there's very little reason for me to buy a vuvuzela.
  19. Those adverts ****** me off. How much Gold do they think people have!?!!? 'Sides, they're shyte.
  20. Perhaps, but for a player of Tevez's quality, he doesn't need many opportunities to get goals. I haven't bet on it, it just jumped out at me. Incidentally, off topic of the World Cup, but on topic of betting, I've had a flutter on Redknapp being the next Liverpool boss. Whilst I tend to think he's stick with Tottenham now he's got them into Europe, I wouldn't be suprised to see him jump ship.
  21. Tevez is 33/1 to be top scorer - good odds there IMO. I've just had a fiver on an Argentina/Brazil final. Madness.
  22. Worth a tenner surely?
  23. Playing a "goalscoring" left winger at left back was ridiculous - on top of that, Surman got the same treatment. Not quite sure what was going on there...
  24. I wouldn't blame Seaman for Ronaldinho's goal in 2002. That was a one of a kind shot that most, if not all, keepers wouldn't have got to.
  25. England will win their group, play Serbia in the Last 16, win that, play France in the quarter finals, win that, and lose to Brazil in the semi finals. Final will be Brazil vs Argentina, Argentina will win. Suprise team of the tournament will be Japan, losing to Spain in the quarter finals. Biggest team to go out in the group stages - Portugal.
