Welcome Damion. That should be the attack sorted - AA, Downs, Archer and Stewart. Loan Ballard out again, sell BBD. We still need attacking midfielders unless the plan really is to keep Fernandes. (crosses everything in hope).

Alex O-C linked with a move back to the Championship... with Leicester interested. The next Walcott/Lallana-style, injury prone, former youth product to be brought back to St Mary's? I know we were linked last summer, I expect things have changed now.

I thought that was the former Skate player when I read it and now realise he's in his mid-40s.

Me either. Just seems to be a case of rich get richer and get to batter some shitter teams. I doubt many people outside the supporters of those clubs, or their plastic fans from across the world, or the media, could care about it - not like International football.

Livramento has been stand out and has played some of the tournament at left back. With England's problems in that position and with Newcastle often playing him at left back, he's virtually a no brainer to go to the WC.

https://www.facebook.com/reel/1031768269062830 I'm sure you've all seen these, but linky anyway.

Honourable mention to Andrew Davies, who got our POTS despite only playing a dozen or so games. Some doing that. After his two goals against Newcastle I thought Eljero Elia was going to be better than he was, he did very little else for us. I guess the answer is Toby or Ryan, but I have a soft spot for Berkovic. Really wish we'd got him permanently. Great goals in the 6-3.

I bumped into Guly in the Shell petrol station just before joining the M3 after a Saints game once. He gave me a thumbs up (not a euphemism). I'm still not sure how he managed to finish the game, do whatever the players do post-match and get to the petrol station before I got there, but I did get stuck in the usual traffic down the Avenue.

Clause is apparently for Prem only.

I was at Boarding School, 1998, doing A-Levels when the World Cup was on. My school had a Sixth Form Club which meant Sixth Formers had a place to go and drink alcohol at the weekends (the other option was Reading). However as it was a special occasion they opened it up on the Tuesday of the England vs Argentina game. We still had to do an hour of homework, at which point there was a mad rush to get to the club to secure the best seats in front of the giant TV. I have never won anything in my life, let alone anything athletic, but somehow through sheer will I got a front row seat to watch that match. Great atmosphere too. Alcohol was flying when Owen scored his goal.

I heard Slicker was bound for City. 😎 anyone over 45 might get that... Even if he's sacked, financially perfect for him. Plus with Mbuemo probably going and one or two others potentially leaving it's probably the right time to get out. Spurs team is actually decent too. Inevitable IMO.

Well you did day my favourite Saints pic! The one time I've managed to get her wearing Saints colours and she has my shirt on backwards. She now claims she supports Liverpool because they're the best. Don't worry, I'll win her over long term or I'll have failed as a father.
-
Is that third kit like this one? If so that was one of my favourite shirts I've owned. Wore that a lot. Possibly my second favourite shirt after the Sash. I like all 3 shirts though if those are true. Could be an expensive Christmas for my missus.

A former CB of ours now at Birmingham has just had an excellent season, Christoph Klarer. 24, 6'3. I doubt he'd move, he just won their POTS and fans POTS awards (admittedly at L1 level) but it shows the players are out there if you look. EDIT - also, welcome Joshua!
-
I won't accept that he'll still be here through next season (or half of it at least) until September 2nd. But as one of our most valuable assets I also suspect SR are fully capable of cashing in.
-
I'll back him, as I do with any manager we appoint until they show they're not right for us. I really hope this is a good appointment. Has some experience despite his age. Back him SR. Oh, and please don't play 3 CBs. Ta. Welcome Will!
-
If anyone pays anything for any of our players, outside of possibly Ramsdale and Fernandes, they're fucking stupid. Not one bollock between the rest of them. There, I said it. (Possibly not soberly).

With one goal, scored on the final day of the season after spending most of it injured. 😉
-
Im just numb from this season. Just so hard to care. That said, it would be great to do Everton at their place just to ruin the party. That line up though. 🙄 I'm not looking forward to seeing the starting line up first game of next season... but that's a worry for much later down the line.
-
So, have we appointed Slavisa Jokanović yet or… no? Just me? Ok. 😌
-
Did we really get to half time unscathed...?
-
-
Whilst I agree, I don't trust SR to do anything but cash in on anyone with any value this summer.

Bring Christoph Klarer home. 😁 CB wise I do think we are probably Ok for the Championship with what we have, even if THB leaves we'll have Bednarek, Stephens, Wood and Edwards but I'd still like us to bring one more in, especially if the new manager still wants to play 3 CBs (sigh). I can't see THB here next season, even with the season he's had, the England cap and potential for making money from him will mean SR recouping at least his transfer fee if not more, and I think he'll have his suitors. I'd be surprised if we cashed in on Jan, unless he wants to go, but you never know. One of the issues is we are stuck between needing a rebuild and knowing what we have is probably good enough (in most areas) to get us promoted. I think AA comes back but I wouldn't want to rely on him getting the 30 goal involvements he got last time, that burden needs to be spread more around the team. I wouldn't want to be our next manager, that's for sure.
