Puel said yesterday that Boufal was about a month out for 1st team action. Does anyone know if the "injury" he discussed is a new one, a flare up of the recent injury that required a knee operation or this is just about his mini pre-season? Seems very unclear.

Encouraging win, good to see some good young prospects full of confidence. Will be giving Claude something to think about. Find it totally bizzare that they are playing 4231 rather than the diamond mind. They need to be ready to step into the 1st team and be familiar with the shape Claude plays.

Agreed, for the 1st time I have given up watching the pressers and pre match. However if he gets good results and plays good football then i'm really not bothered.

TFC being my 2nd club as a local now, would be delighted with Sebastian Giovinco who is playing some amazing stuff right now. Played on the left at Juve but more of a CF now. No previous interest as far as I know but I would love to see him in the PL at our club.

When Twente had the ball at the back all three pressed, this is when you would see Austin pressing wide at times as part of that 3. It is fluid and depends on who is closest to the ball regarding who is most advanced and who pulls wide.

Notable change in style of play already. A lot less direct with a quicker tempo on the ball, lot more one and two touch. Will be interesting to see how we adapt this in the PL. For me it is more of a 4-3-2-1 attacking, relying on the FB's for width and a high pressing 4-4-3 without the ball.

Yes feel we need 4 seniors in total. Last year we had 5 but not sure they were all available at the same time. Long, Pelle, Mane, Austin, Jrod Also had Juanmi on the books. Now down to 3 and tbh little worried about jrod and Austin's fitness. Gallagher has potential but not had the best 2 seasons (feel for him), would love to see him come good on loan.

We have proven to be very well run, I am trying to remain patient until the end of the window. It is hard as a fan losing some of your best players every year, but we have recruited very well for the most part. What concerns me a little this year is that the noises from the trusted side of the press are suggesting a new RB and GK and that's it. Having lost key men in Pelle, Mane, VW plus a couple of others we are definitely light as it stands. Think Redmond was a good signing to add to the squad, lad from Bayern sounds promising but don't really know too much about him. Maybe a bit much to ask them both to replace the Mane and VW. We have received very good fees + record sponsorship takings + TV deal. My expectation was to sign 2-3 quality players as well as promising ones. Board have done great to get the majority of players to sign long term deals but I bet you some of those will be available for transfer in the summer, that's what we do with this business model. Our CM is quite heavy but lacks a top player imo. I can't see us trying to get one though. I think we still need a RB to compete with Cedric. A striker to replace Pelle (need 4 ST imo) A very creative #10 GK Proper Mane replacement who can play as a 10, winger and striker. Don't think it will happen unfortunately.

Martina did his best and filled a role. IMO he is not good enough technically for us overall. Cedric was hit and miss in his 1st year but he has all the attributes to be a top RB and is technically very good.

So far we have sold 4 players + Koeman for approx 64mill. New TV deal + record sponsorship deals, Saints should be sitting quire pretty finiancially. We will have spent around 20mill on Redmond & Hojbjerg. 2 players with excellent potential. Still need a GK and replace Mane and Wanyama at bare minimum imo. Fine to sell high but need to invest to make sure we strengthen not weaken the squad. Will have to wait until end of window to judge.

Ibe has potential but not really shown too much yet, it's a bit steep. Redmond is the safer bet imo. A couple of years older but much more experience, better record and also has plenty of room to develop.

I think they are pretty **** tbh. Let's not be pedantic about how high it is, it still looks like a ****ing sports bra. On the plus side, I think the Virgin Media logo looks great and I like what they have done with the stripes. But the bra kills it for me, Red would have looked better imo. Dissapointed they are using a year old template - hardly cutting edge. Not a fan of the stuck on badges on the training kit and the kits themselves - looks tacky. However both the home and away kit's do have an embroidered badge on the online club shop which looks much better imo (odd!?) #braraised

Pretty sure those kits are legit. Look at the long socks on the training ground, they are identical. The sports bra design is horrific. V disappointing, hopefully look better in real images. The training kit colours are Minging across the board and the badge looks cheap. Oh well at least I will be richer....

Like a few, underwhelmed by this gamble but have to trust the club. They have earned it over the last 7 years. I can see why he ticks most boxes, but the proof is in the pudding, Good Luck Claude.
