I have some interesting info on this one... A contact of mine is an African agent and they had Mayuka on their books as a kid. He had agred a deal to take him either FC Twente or Porto but he stitched them up and signed a 24 month FIFA agreement with Nir Kan...one of the top agents in Isreal and ended up at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Apparently a bit of a loose cannon at that age... having said that like alot of Africans apprently he is approx 24y.o! So let's wait and see on this one..... Apparently a top player very fast, great feet, best attribute is his finishing.

This is a ****ing terrible result, wigan are no pushovers but we needed one point bare minimum on the board today with 2 tough games coming up. Why totally ditch formation which has served us so well. We could be rooted in a couple of games. Character and lots of signings required this week or we are going to be in a very very tough position.

The other teams have got some good signings in. The club knows we need quality reinforcements but ultimately we need to judge when the window closes. At this moment in time however I'm a little worried. his time next week I hope we have made huge strides or it will be a long old season. 3-5 players could make or break our season. Would love to see Ramirez.

Feel bad for jrod, he worked hard but I see him competing for a cf plac with RL & sharp. Sure lallana can play central, but on the left he has had a big impact for us. AL or Lee left, Guly or punch right. For me our best play on Sunday was when Adam was drifting left twisting and turning and being direct. + how much better did we look when we were going for it rather than soaking it up.

Excited but have had this nagging feeling that we are underprepared. We have a tough start and our best players are not looking comfortable or fluid in this formation yet. Imo move lallana to left forward and j rod lambert and sharp to battle for central position. Need to strengthen in the obvious areas ASAP with quality and pace and we will be ok. But we haven't yet and I'm fearful as of right now.

Getting embarrassing, when was the last time in any game at home when we were 3 down at halftime? Great confidence boost for next week!

This is very true.... Just as important how many long range goals do we score. Not many at all. Both stats will need to improve this season.

One or other in that formation IMO central. As someone else said, all of a sudden left side is looking weaker than right. I understand the need to experiment, but not the time for square pegs in round holes
