We were great in the main but same weaknesses remain. Fonte nowhere near the winner. Fox very exposed first half in particular. Davis kicking.... Jeez Key is this.... In championship l1, Adkins would get into winning positions then sit back and soak...usually won us games but in the prem you will get punished sitting back with world class players. City and utd, same story too deep. Cant wait to see Ramirez but we needed a top class cb.

Having watched all the saints player footage from earlier in the day, seems obvious from Nigel's comments we have missed out on one or two. Not including cropper, only one in today. Nigel looked puzzled by yossi benayon (sp?), so not sure that was ever on the table. Still needed a proven class cb IMO minimum, I'm sure we will do more business than we thought we would in January. New tv deal is a whopper and we have definitely missed an additional 2 or 3 targets IMO.

Much as I love Rickie, if we got decent cash 6m + and could sign a better player (e.g berbatov or of similar ilk), then why not. If we got 6mill and went out and signed someone not proven at the highest level then forget about it. Depends on what is available imo.
