Out of interest, all these people saying he is good or bad, have they ever seen him play? Or is that an irrelevance before pontificating?

Love the reporting of the same story with very different outlooks: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4148774/Southampton-try-Napoli-striker-Manolo-Gabbiadini.html ADRIAN KAJUMBA vs SIMON JONES

https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-01-23/matchday-uncovered-southampton-leicester-city-premier-league At 13secs, there is an empty slot - is this supposed to be Fonte's place, and if so, is it a sly dig?

Club won't be replacing Fonte, gardos to get his chance

LOL - I was just speaking figuratively! But, seeing as we are at it, you raise the pricing it correctly bit. Do that, and the 24k you might get, while only 6k less than PL averages, might be the equiv of 10k's worth of income. -
I'm erring towards deliberate. Makes sense to try and nobble the lynch pin that is preventing you from scoring. After that, LCFC very much targeted the CBs

Not sure how it was accidental

Nordic, I guess that's an age thing. But, if you have been, how about Yeovil?? What sights could you possibly find to see there? IMO, as quickly in and out as possible is sometimes best. On a slightly different note, I find Romeu interesting. He does, or has done, these little videos about the local area which I think is really great to see.

http://www.footballorgin.net/2017/01/22/epl-southampton-vs-leicester-city-full-match-replay/2/ Go to about 49:40 as there is a super slo-mo

I like Armstong's version...very cool and would be perfect IMO.

Not really if you bear in mind that he had to shoot as the other two were both off side. He dragged it wide rather than put in row KK. He really should have made the goalie save it, and maybe he could have taken time to place rather than power.

I think that we could probably agree that the pursuit of money never brings out any good traits in people. Unfortunately the game has changed and it is now 100% a business (OK that is a tad melodramatic as it always was a business , but the point stands). The "problem" is obvious to me. We as supporters don't swap allegiances and some seem to have difficulty, especially when players have been here for a number of years, in understanding that players do not share those same allegiances. We support Saints for love, not money. To the players it is a job for money, not love. Oh they might love the game and the trappings that come with it, but they do not have the love of Saints that we have.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/new-twist-west-hams-dimitri-9667176 This is more interesting. Weren't we sniffing after Nice's striker?

How about the other person in that article?

JBS, I agree but with the one exception being that if we are relegated, we are likely to "lose" 10k supporters on a weekly basis. -
He wasn't employed to hold the hands of his team mates.

Now me being cynical.... I look at this part of JF's statement, and think, what a lot of horse ****. I also have part of my family living in London and they are big West Ham fans. It just made sense for me at this stage to join West Ham Now if I had family living in London, I would still expect them to support me at my club, the one that I had been at for 7 years. Trotting this **** out as a reason, because some of his family support them, is just a load of insincere ********. A shame that he puts so much store in who they support, when they couldn't be bothered to support him and his club for the past 7 years. Now I know that players trot out this sort of stuff to justify a whole lot of rubbish, but to then question peoples cynicism is a little misplaced, at least in my eyes.

This is very true. What did he cost? £6m? I think too many see him as a Forren signing, which he may or may not be. -
I don't complain about players leaving, I'm fairly ambivalent about it. Pragmatic. I don't complain about players staying, I'm ambivalent about that too. I just think it strange when someone is happy to sit on the bench most of the time for 4 years. But that's just me. If I was a professional football player, I would be wanting to play every week, and if I was on the bench most the time, I would probably leave.

Read the first sentence and gave up. "laude Puel is slowly but surely taking Southampton backwards, massively, ...." Well is it slowly but surely, or is it massively? Just more negative opinions, which I can do without, even if it is true.

Fine, but to me that is semantics, and if Reed is going to treat me/us like ****ing morons, then I am not sure it will go down too well. If we replace from within, I really have no problem with that, that is, if they can do the job. -
I suspect he certainly won't come to us, but one can hope/dream.
-
So he signs for Napoli 2 years ago for £10m and for some reason has doubled in value while not being able to get a start. If Serie A is where we are going, I'd rather Immobile, but guess he wouldn't move so soon after signing for Lazio.
-
I have one slight problem with Yoshida, apart from the odd mistake, but then John Stones does more and he cost £50m Is he ambitious enough? If I was made to play second fiddle for the best part of 4 years, I think that I would have tried to move on to somewhere else where I was number 1.

Wow, a Portuguese player nearing the end of his career buys a house in Portugal. Now who would have thought that!!?
