This. Taylor is a curious one, but he is on a 1 year deal. Guess it was an insurance policy that hasn't met expectations.

So... Forster McCarthy Taylor Hassen (on loan) + Lewis Gazza I'm a little confused. I understand that Lewis isn't ready, Gazza out on loan and McCarthy is injured. But Taylor?? -

Steven Caulker gone on a £30k a week deal to Locomotiv Moscow. He must have a really good agent! -
Well if that's the case, he should have re-signed for Palace.

Jim White is far too sycophantic to ask proper questions. Fonte comes across as a whiney baby. In fact, it is so pathetic (Jim White) that talksport is being binned after this. Fonte says that it was the club who pushed him out for some reason. He was a little defensive over the point about submitting a written transfer and says that he didn't submit one. Also said that there were talks about him moving when he returned from the Euros. One could take that to mean that he was agitating to move (just a few months after signing his improved contract), and one might go further and say that Fonte has been acting as a côck/ But that is speculation. But whatever, he seems to be airing his washing in public. "The lady doth protest too much me thinks". -
Lawrenson and Crooks should be put out to pasture. I like Danny Murphy and Jermaine Jenas, and at a push Martin Keown. And Gabby Logan is much better looking than Lineker, who half the time seems to think he's a comedian.

€24m....wow!! Palace spend in a rather haphazard manner. More doesn't mean better.

Rondon is being chased for £28-30m by China
-
Supposedly rejected £12m from WBA
-
Supposedly the medical was at 8am, so no doubt IF he passes it will be coming soon.
-
8am for the Ital. striker - apparently.
-
TBH high wages and high valuation will cause everyone problems, not just Palace. Palace coming in at the 11th hour might suggest that we have bailed out of this one.

Oooops!! https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2742944/sadio-mane-could-chelsea-clash-after-flight-problems-delay-his-return-to-merseyside-from-africa-cup-of-nations/

Question is, if he has fallen down the pecking order here, is he really going to be at the top of the pecking order at WBA? He has fallen down for a reason which is obvious to all - best part of 2 years being injured. And while he has scored a few goals, and seems to be getting better, he still isn't where he was. I think as a player, there are few if any that the supporters want to succeed more than him, what with him so nearly breaking through to the national side before his injury (although if he had, I doubt he would still be a Saints player!!!!!!!). So if he does go to WBA and doesn't start scoring, will he fall down the pecking order there?

Anyway, I don't disagree Jeff, just view it differently. So maybe best to leave this part of politics alone and stick to footie??

The reason he went to 3rd/4th is rather obvious isn't it? -
That foul on Channon at 2:30 leading up to our 2nd being an indirect only. How times have changed.

Manolo Gabbiadini - a done deal (according to twitter)

That was Rome. Italy was created in 1861
-
How many is a few weeks? 2 or 3 or 12?
-
Why rest at players? Sign up another manager so that he can rotate as well.
-
Why rest at 2. Let's go for 8 more and replace the whole team.
-
The thing with Italy is that the owners have to take into account the ultras who seem to have a huge say in club proceedings.
-
And he was 1.83m

It comes down to economics now. I presume we can scrape together 9-12 points to avoid relegation. Which leaves Feb 26 being the only meaningful game left. So the premium that Napoli are trying to extract, can this be made up and more by the league finishing position and its prize money?
