  1. I would have severe problems with the goal celebration. He looks an utter **** doing it for Liverpool and England. Grr. Get's me wound up for some extraordinary reason. Twaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
  2. ...but sad to say, as it is CB, the highest form of intelligence (to complete Oscar Wilde's saying)
  3. Fred, do you think we were closer to winning it in say mid 80s than we are now? Do you think we are closer to finishing in the European places now or were we more likely in the 80s?
  4. Give up on football is another alternative, or maybe to scrap FFP regulations and let more teams do a RB Leipzig, although I suspect somehow that they haven't broken FFP. I'm loving it that they are top. Pipsqueaks coming out of nowhere to lead everything much to the chagrin and dislike of everyone else. Just imagine if Bayern and Dortmund had 18 RB Leipzigs to face. There would be a level playing field where anyone can win. Football is broken. I don't like it, but I get it. I think that I have now reached the stage where I don't actually care whether my club do things with integrity or not. No one else does. It doesn't really get us anywhere and we are picked apart at will by other clubs. Maybe the club hierarchy like it that way. So be it. It's their club, in as much as they own it, but it isn't really helping us move forward. So if they sell up, we get someone in who then decides to make us Man City Mk2, then do I care? Not in the slightest. Anything would be better than just hanging around and making up the numbers and wondering whether against all probability whether we might finish in the EL places, now that the big boys seemingly have got their act together.
  5. What is the point of being in a competition that you have little to no chance of winning? Are you happy just making up the numbers?
  6. Not sure.. I look out the window and see it piissing down, but the Alpine is here with his drivel, so like you, have to question it.
  7. Sure, but to be comatose? What is the difference between the best of the best? Not a huge amount. You want to go on the piiss and then maybe your opponent get's that advantage over you. Do you really think what Lallana and Henderson did less than 2 days before an England match was professional? Maybe you think driving 2 hours to meet some mates at a titty bar and then driving 2 hours back and going to bed at 3am is going to leave you in tip top shape?
  8. Sorry but you and your opinions are an irrelevance. I think NUFC would win the PL before you made any sense.
  9. Why is it new's worthy? I guess being captain of the national side and representing your country means so little to some these days.
  10. Exactly Shance. It's the press's fault that Rooney was incoherent at 5am and the batty bros drove 4 hours to spend 2 hours looking at tit and bum.
  11. What I find sad in this, and the Rooney piissed up wedding goings on, are those that condone it. Brushing it aside as young men being young men. Sure they are, but they are also supposed to be elite athletes, which means that the difference between you and the rest of the best is tenths of a degree. Sure there wasn't much booze with the batty boys trip to FYEO, but getting back to the hotel at 3am with a game the next day is not the best way to prepare. If they think it is, and that hell, it's only a friendly, then perhaps they shouldn't be picked for the national side as they clearly have the wrong attitude. I am not sure whether it is fair to say, or not, but when players become "established" in the England squad (which also means playing for one of the big clubs) their attitude becomes totally shiit. It's no wonder that the national side performs so badly. It has ever since 1990, with a slight blip in 1996 as hosts (but even as hosts, we were average).
  12. "Our" league!! There is one league and no point pretending that the them and us is OK. It isn't. It's shiit. Better than some other countries, but still makes the league a joke. Yes, LCFC won it last year but that was a fluke rather than the norm. Personally don't care too much about the league this season. Europa it is for me. I know one leads to the other, but we are there now and need to grab the opportunity.
  13. Ultimately I like to watch and support my side, not worry too much about the other side and even less about their manager. I'm sure everyone got in the pantomime swing of things over Lovren yesterday, it's that time of year and yes my father with his dementia got into the swing of things, but that is negative. Be positive, support the Saints.
  14. Who did the best dive? Firmino, Boufal or Fonte? I'd give it to Fonte.
  15. Now there's a lad not afraid to pile in.
  16. Boufal is I think still adjusting to the league and will learn to get rid of the ball a little quicker.
  17. While playing a very defensive game, probably best not to have Austin as your lone man up top to hit them on the break!
  18. And Dortmund have Champions League to offer their players, an 82000 crowd, and a realistic chance at winning the title.

    How is Shlong doing?
  20. I'll round it up to £300
  21. Why not stick with the usual Les Reed and the board?
  22. I would have thought so. I've regressed into my disinterest in football again. The them and us is so evident this year.

TBH, not fussed if it is only minor and he can play on Saturday.
  24. Yeah, but we had the first FA Cup match game under floodlights and that didn't keep him here. And more recently we were the first ground in Europe to be all LEDs.
