Everton gave Sunderland's mascot £200k, so I would hope that the club did at least the same for Franny.
-
lucky that comma was there!!

Donated. I do think it appalling that the footballers couldn't seemingly be bothered to dip into their pockets for one of their own (admittedly ex) and stump up a bit more. He got £260k last time and is above that this time. Average wage of a PL football player is over £40k a week. Clubs are rolling in it. Say each PL club gave £10k and each of the 25 man squad gave £2k then that would be £1.2m and maybe do half that for the Champ clubs, plus our donations, would hit £2m. I know no one should feel obliged and no doubt they have their other charities that they deal with, but it would be nice if clubs and players were seen to do something for an ex pro for something that affects us all.

Zlatan was £800k cheaper.

who did Glenda give MoM to?
-
Alli for MotM?? Anyway, you'll have to tell me as I am bored ****less by this, and the monotonous tone of Tyldesely far too often referring back to all things Man U. Going to do something less boring instead.
-
Hope Ryan just tweaked it (or "felt" it) and came off without having damaged things too badly.
-
My 10yo lad has just left from watching pronouncing that it was really boring. He ain't wrong. At home against the team ranked 176th. And now Ryan is out. F'ing brilliant!

True Portugal, but respect is a two way thing.

You can prob park on Britannia Rd what with it being a Sunday. Stadium side is double yellows, the other side isn't. If not Melbourne St or failing that, the stadium car park.

I think Tadic plays best on the left, so maybe Boufal on the right.

I'm going to stand by what I said about Redmond. A signing that I look forward to see maturing and what I have seen so far is not a disappointment. Maybe a wrong decision at times, but he can dribble and he gets around the pitch a lot. Glad that the out and out striker role seems to have been scaled back as not sure he was ready for it.

VVD looks completely ****ged out.
-
Have absolutely no idea what you are on about - personal feud?? Sorry but I don't go into that sort of crap with a pseudonym.

Didn't it come out in his court case that Arry took a cut of the profits on transfers?
-
We all like to think the club is different. Banc de Binary shows we aren't.

There was some speculation that they might have been slapped with an injunction or two (super or otherwise).

Yes the Ulrika bit was unacceptable - maybe it made him think about life a bit more. But that's not the point I wanted to make. Ticket prices....I think that the ST is too high but that is partially my fault for being in Kingsland. However, I did want to reiterate that the prices for the group games at least, of the EL really aren't bad at all. £16 for an adult. I took a L2 club at random (Carlisle) and looked at their ticket prices...I am sure that we would still have sold lots of tickets for the EL if it had been more expensive (like a Cat C game). Who said it was right because it was normal?
-
Helping out his friend (the agent)???? No doubt one scratch of a back, will elicit another further down the line. But the industry is so awash with money, that it is hardly a surprise that this sort of thing goes on. Same as any other industry where huge amounts of money are involved - there will always be backhanders and nefarious goings on.

I wonder how the Torygraph chose their targets?
-
Taking papers on is notoriously difficult and expensive, and even if costs ar awarded you can still end up with a huge bill. So unfortunately you just have to let it go on many cases. One thing about EB is that he wasn't seemingly trying to make money for himself.
-
If everyone who gets maned is going to be sacked, then AFAIK, there will be 4 PL clubs looking for a new manager, 2 old dinosaurs finally getting his comeuppance and one who hasn't managed yet.
-
And how on earth do you know what was a) in his contract that he signed in Oct 2015 and b) in other players' contracts?
-
Probably better to try and impress people by being on the straight and narrow. If I had a meeting with someone and they bragged how they could bribe people (or buy them for a few pieces of silver) then I really wouldn't be impressed. Maybe its normal in football, but not in my life it isn't.
