  1. Not the most exciting half of footie I have ever watched.
  2. Problem as far as I see is Clasie, JWP and Hesketh. 2 might be OK but not all 3.
  3. Ridiculous analogy as it doesn't factor in his "hefty pay rise" that he agreed to in October.
  4. seems a lot of stuff might be on there. The Beer Sheva stuff interviews etc is on the official sight when it might have been on youtube in the past.
  5. HBS you gotta remember that people in other countries don't know a huge amount about Israel as they have their preconceptions that fit their outlook. Often/usually fed by those with other agendas. As you say, free us from propaganda. The biggest thing that they seemingly don't know is that 25% of the population is non-Jewish (mostly Arab). Anyway, I have always thought that sport should be above politics. Having said that I guess Beitar Jerusalem don't really help matters, although looking at it, I guess one might not think it too different from Bilbao. Anyway that is politics. Anyway, looking forward to tonight (from the UK) and a shame that LCFC on Sunday seems to have been prioritised.
  6. I think that it would have been better named "ex-Saints Watch". Defectors is too negative and, as you say, full of self-pity.
  7. FGS grow up Nordic. That must be the most naive rubbish I have ever read. Fonte won't move because he isn't appreciated by some Saints fans and will find love at United. That is just ridiculous. So tell me. He signs an improved 3 year contract in October 2015. Do you think it right that the club are held hostage for another one 9 months later? Maybe you think that winning a competition with his national team rather than club that pays him, means he should have an increase at club level? Do you think that he has played well this season so far?
  8. They like having their egos massaged. Doing back handers is part of the big boss man act.
  9. Most intriguing of all is a limited liability partnership called Proctor House Newcastle. This organisation, which appears to operate a boutique hotel in the north east, and lists assets of around £3.5million, has as business partners a string of high profile sportsmen, including footballers Darren Bent, Pa**** Cisse, Ashley Cole, Sylvain Distin, football manager Roberto Martinez, and boxer Joe Calzaghe. It also lists England players Wayne Rooney and Joe Hart as partners of Allardyce. Quite what an England manager, who is supposed to make impartial decisions about whether to select Hart and Rooney, is doing in a business relationship with them is anyone's guess. 10. It annoys the hell out of me that he is expecting a new contract 9 months or so after he signed his last improved one. I don't care what his performance for his national side was, I am looking at his club performance. He has been average this season.
  11. Love him or hate him.....http://betting.boylesports.com/football/bigsamgate-is-proof-football-has-lost-its-soul
  12. Apparently 10 managers taking bungs.
  13. With my poor eyes, I find it hard enough to see the other side of the pitch from the back of Kingsland!! God knows what I would be able to see should I be at the back of the stand behind the goal?? I seriously doubt I would be able to see that much action at the goal at the other end of the pitch. It might be a nice shiny stadium that has been got for nothing (and helped out the government by it not being a white elephant) and it might get big crowds, but now that it is up and running, I wonder how many will swap Brisbane Road for the London Stadium?
  14. It's going to be one of those that will cause controversy because of a lack of consistency. Some refs will give it, some won't. Very bîtchy article by Poll - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3806840/Jon-Moss-isn-t-respected-players-fact-cautioned-five-West-Ham-men-London-Stadium-showed-doesn-t-know-control-game.html . This from the man who awarded 3 yellow cards to someone in the same match.
  15. Sure you can wonder. You can even wander if you want. Especially about the players that have just left. But the likes of Lallana, well he left over 2 years ago. Schadenfreude aside, as in football that is amusing, wondering what players who left over 2 seasons ago might have done, is somewhat pointless. You can look back if you want, but looking forward is usually better.
  16. Actually, the only one I like to see how he does is Pelle. Those in PL, then I agree with you apart from making interesting observations like the Arsenal Liverpool game and the scorers. Those saying what could have been really do need to move on.
  17. I tend to ignore what ex Liverpool players have to say. They lack any objectivity and because they seem to pervade the media, it becomes boring.
  18. Got opener in 2-1 win
  19. Not quite the True Geordie.
  20. This. Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing Saints win (at any level). I take a certain schadenfreude with us beating WHU, as they also epitomise what's wrong with PL. It's a PL thing that a lot rail against.
  21. Can you compare to the old Stamford Bridge with its banking? I can still remember that, and am wondering if it is EVEN worse than that?!
  22. Would that mean we have to pay QPR more? I know that there was some sort of clause if he went to Euro16.
  23. Interesting isn't it!!? really want to hear from someone who was there today what it was actually like. But **** me, move from a nice tight compact ground to that.....

    Puel

People were too hasty to criticise Puel and the Board. It still all might end in tears, but....
  25. hope not! (being selfish)
