  1. Redmond injury prone???? http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nathan-redmond/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/129078/verein/1123 - hmm can't see where his injuries are, so wonder whether it is just you spouting "an incorrect opinion"?
  2. In this day an age, a forward signs a 4 or 5 year contract for £30m and expects £70k+ a week. £2m loan fee and £100k a week makes "sense" in this madness we find ourselves in.
  3. Is that more conjecture as you are wrong. It's not a buy, it's a loan.
  4. This is patently nonsense , but well done.

    Puel

The problem with this conversation is that too many people presume that Puel can play in one way and one way only, with no variation or adaption.
  6. I am happy with £8.5m - I find it all so depressing that everyone is splashing out such ridiculous sums, and that others (a lot here) think it a lack of "ambition" that we aren't joining in but have "only" bought 3 players in at £11m, £12.8m and £16m!!
  7. Roma wanted him apparently, but maybe too short a time to sort. Does the loan window close today as well?
  8. Not sure it has really been mentioned, but tbh, £12 for over 65 and £18 for adults is a really fair price.
  9. I'm sure it has been mentioned, but could someone update me on the ETA back from injury? All I have seen is "next month", being September.
  10. Wilshere PL 2015/16 - 3 games - 141 minutes 2014/15 - 14 games - 732 minutes 2013/14 - 24 games - 1720 minutes 2012/13 - 25 games - 1697 minutes 2011/12 - 0 games
  11. Problem with signing Wilshere, regardless of business sense or not, is that he is likely to be injured for most of the season.
  12. JRod is the interesting one. If he can perform like he did 2013/14 then brilliant. But that might be a very big IF. Certainly the cameo on Saturday was encouraging, but....
  13. OK fair enough - maybe that one, but at the time of signing was he better? That is what I am on about, before us developing which is where the money is to be made. But Lallana/Classie? Mané/????. Clyne/Cedric?
  14. Alas this is PL parachute payments ruining the Championship, which then leads to others over spending to try and compete.
  15. FF, of course we are less strong. Even if you can compare like for like player wise, the likes of Liverpool aren't going to pay us £35m for a player that is inferior to one that we pick up for half that price as they can just go and do that themselves and by-pass us completely.
  16. Rather Reed than Clasie
  17. It was in the cards, and the medical team are OK at reading them
  18. I agree with you Art. The medical team seriously need to upgrade their crystal balls as it is appalling that it couldn't pick up and identify JRod falling badly and buggering up his knee 2 years after he signed for the club.
  19. Isn't one of the biggest problems their boots studs, blades or whatever they are? It may help you turn, stop etc, but not much good if it is going to bugger up your knee. Have no idea whether hybrid pitches also have an effect or not.
  20. There was an interesting bit on the radio about RB Leipzig, how they are hated in Germany, and where all their money has suddenly appeared from.
  21. FWIW - not a lot TBH. They had James McCarthy going to Sunderland and Palace (I think it was) on the same "whisper".
  22. Play the counter attack - fine. But do that, then why not start with the player who is best in our squad at counter attacking - Shlong?
  23. what abo0ut £70k a week? Is he worth that much?
  24. Agree. One of the few positives to take from the game.
  25. So Fonte gets his agent to talk to another of his clients to float a rumour or two, with the club not receiving a bid and hey presto, a £1.3m pay rise materialises. Is that about the sum of it?
