  1. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong - Ghandi
  2. Or maybe even the 2012 Champions League.
  3. You can never guarantee things, but I suspect after the hugely costly debacle with Osvaldo that the club are more than aware of poor attitudes.
  4. Course we'd have him back. A bit of contrition and a good performance or two, and all would be forgiven and forgotten.
  5. Think it would be the best move Zaha could make. Of the two ex-managers, MP is far the superior not least with youngsters/23yos like Zaha.
  6. Love the Mail. In that story they have "Southampton defender Jose Fonte (left) could be playing alongside Paul Pogba this season" thrown in.
  7. Agree. All we have is something in the past tense à la Morgan, with a "we march on together" supposedly added as an after thought.
  8. I'm afraid to have to agree with you and that it is time to show us what he has, and we can't really go a 3rd year waiting for him.
  9. Would disagree with the Sophie bit. More Soffie
  10. Is that why Mané's purcahse by us has gone from £11m to nearly £20m?
  11. VM - I am sure that you would have a little more respect if you were a proper football supporter. You seemed to support Saints when your mate was here, but when he left, your allegiances went with him. That's not the action of a "proper" football supporter, who supports a club come what may. If a mate leaves, then support stays with the club, but then of course you obviously follow your mate as well. While I appreciate the vitriol you faced, a fair bit self inflicted, you could have used humour in this situation (that is if you supported Saints). But as you don't, I guess that is irrelevant. It would appear though that you don't support any team, but you support a player. What happens when he retires, do you give up with football?
  12. While people say it is, I'm not so sure, not least as I can't keep up with PC'dom. The reason I am not sure, is because LBGT (lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender) seems now to have added a bit more on and is sometimes LBGTQI (or LBGTQQI) where "Q" is queer/questioning and "I" is intersex. However, as in all these cases, intent should be taken into account. It rarely is, but in this case, there was intent to be derogatory.
  13. West Ham must have a tasty wage bill.
  14. He was someone who thought he was important in life because he hung on to the coat tails of a football player. As an aside, I am quite pleased that Nivea Boy has found favour with Klopp, and seems to be doing well. Just wish he would shave as the celeb bum fluff really doesn't suit him. Bit like Bale and his stupid little bun he has.
  15. All this ITKers schitt. I take it at face value. I know that that is wrong, but I really can't believe that anyone is really that pathetic to worry about what pseudonyms on an anonymous forum think about their pseudonym.
  16. 1 in 2 for us.
  17. Thinking about it, this might be the winner for me. Invariably said by ex-players to justify cheating most likely because they cheated as well when they played.
  18. Calling Fonte, Fonté. The fat alcoholic on the radio keep doing it and that annoys me for some reason. The clubs in house commentary used to do it - maybe they still do.
  19. I read in various places (I guess because they all copy each other) that Mourinho is happy to wait until the last day of the window before buying him!!! That makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Presumably the people who wrote that are presuming he will be able to pick him up on the cheap, which just won't be the case as we don't want to sell. In fact it would be the opposite and his price would go up. Then the other point it raises is that Mourinho can just buy whoever he wants and the club who holds the player's registration just has to bend over and take it. FWIW, I would have thought that Koné would have been a better option, although ACN cover that Fonte would offer would be an issue.
  20. OK, I'll bite, explain how you come to this conclusion (short of it being pure conjecture)?
  21. Yet people still wanted to keep him here for another year thinking that he would do well while being reluctant. It's that age old problem of having reluctant players and trying to keep them. Plus of course ACN17 - looking back he didn't miss any in 2015 I think because of injury, but generally I think it is 5 league games that get missed and a couple of FA Cup ones. There are pre tournament friendlies as the group gets together.
  22. £1.25m according to this ... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3755529/Everton-boss-Ronald-Koeman-looks-former-club-Southampton-offers-1-25m-Cuco-Martina.html Nice to know Everton use Simon Jones as well.
  23. He has a nice smile and is happy to play for us
  24. Agree. Had a very good game last night I thought.
