  1. From the 'Rules of the Competition' (with acknowledgements to the FA): © Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices of admission subject to the following conditions: (i) Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be: In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00 In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £5.00 In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £6.00 In the First and Second Round Proper: £10.00 In the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round Proper: £15.00 (ii) A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The Away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home team if agreed by both clubs. (iii) The price for admission for children and senior citizens must be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned.
  2. In total I believe they received more than it cost.
  3. Small claims court? They may well settle before then.
  4. You forgot to include 'image rights'.
  5. Absolutely. Although the club can take the VAT from the paying supporter, but they don't have to pass it on to HMRC, just so long as they have the word 'Portsmouth' in their name.
  6. So why should only television viewers pay for the BBC? No - I don't want to start a big debate on this but it is all part of the wider question of how the BBC should be funded. What really gets my goat is all the trailers that we have to suffer on both BBC television and radio. I sometimes think there's no difference between them and the commercial channels.
  7. The banks have to rebuild their margins which means lending money at higher differential rates than before. There is not the amount of credit available to the banks as there was a few years ago, hence why it's called 'credit crunch'. They don't want to lend it to each other in case they need ot for themselves.
  8. I felt that he was a couple of feet too far to his left. I can think of a lot of keepers who might have saved it, but I wouldn't criticise him too much for letting it past him.
  9. Where are the banks going to get this money that you want them to lend? The money is there if you meet the criteria. If you think the trains will be cheaper if they were nationalised then you must accept that there would have to be massive subsidies, and that's without the inefficiencies inherent in all nationalised industries. If you want British ownership of the utilities then why don't you buy them?
  10. You don't need a licence for the radio.
  11. Just hope that nobody who works for the company reads this forum. I would suspect that this is an initial meeting to discuss the general situation, but if you are not clear about the reason for it then you should ask now.
  12. He made a good save late on Saturday but I think his positioning was faulty for their goal.
  13. I used to work with someone from Shrewsbury who said it should be pronounced 'Shrewsbury' and not the way that the BBC do it. They call Romsey 'Rumsey', FGS.
  14. I agree. Why don't you email him? (or D.Luker)
  15. I think it's called 'mucus' but that's probably too much information.
  16. To be fair, Fonte scored well into stoppage time at the end of the first half. I noticed that D'Urso was constantly telling Saints players to get a move on in the second half so perhaps he thought it was for time-wasting. Overall I was not impressed. The drop-ball was 50 yards away from the correct position and he missed a lot of incidents, sometimes by turning his back on them. Also he seemed to get caught up in the action a few times.
  17. Has your lady recently come of the Pill? It can take a long time (over a year) for all systems to return to 'normal'. My daughter took over a year to get pregnant. Then, for their second, they thought that if the first took so long they had better get going quickly. There is only 18 months between their two kiddies.
  18. Something along the lines of 'How do you ensure that there is no political bias in your coverage and do you think you achieve impartiality?' ?
  19. Here's more from the Daily Mail (so it must be true ) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-436794/What-loneliest-job-Britain-Being-Tory-BBC.html
  20. Such perceptions must of course be subjective, but I have been listening to this programme for a few decades now and it is quite noticeable how the interviewers let Labour politicians speak freely whilst persistently interrupting Conservative speakers.
  21. I remember the interview with Neil Kinnock on the 'Today' programme just before he lost the general election. It was the most cringingly sycophantic bit of radio I have ever heard. Some of us have long memories.
  22. He got caught in possession a few times, to be fair.
  23. I'm sure that when he stopped play the ball was nowhere near the place where he dropped the ball. That was where the injured player was lying.
  24. Thanks for the link. It's a different world today, I'm afraid, but perhaps that's not such a bad thing. My grandad's brother was killed at Arras and I had an uncle who was wounded there. All the research that I've done just reinforces the respect and admiration that I have for each and every one of them.
  25. So what exactly happened to Guly, then?
