  1. So imagine this.... by some miracle we finish out of the bottom three, the 10 points are applied which relegates us, we win the appeal and are re-instated in the Championship, Barnsley or Forest are relegated instead. This one could run and run.
  2. Was that when the coach and horses were on strike?
  3. I've just realised that this is the first season that I haven't been to an away game.
  4. So if Forest of Barnsley win none we still need to win two? Either way, we need to win both our games whatever happens. A win and a draw might just be enough if Norwich don't get more than one point and Barnsley lose both their games. We still have a goal difference of seven to make up on Barnsley which might be possible if they lose two and we win one / draw one. It's looking very grim.
  5. So, Saturday really is a 'must win' game.
  6. And also quality of football?
  7. Naughty! :smt018
  8. Why would she want to buy a football club?
  9. Not just yet, give it a couple more days.
  10. The interesting comparison would be with the values of the squads of the other teams in out league, whatever that is.
  11. There's too much apathy about at the moment.
  12. I really thought that we were on the way back up after that one. Silly me.
  13. Who owns the registrations and who owes the money to Barclays? This is where the distinction between the PLC and the club becomes important.
  14. He owes us one.
  15. Someone told me that the stadium is the hub of the City's cctv operation and the Council didn't want to lose control of it. Any truth in this?
  16. Are you blaming the customers for not buying the product?
  17. Does anybody recognise these symptoms? (with apologies to anyone affected by such issues) The five stages of facing death: Stage One: Denial, shock, and disbelief. Feeling of numbness. The inability to accept what has happened and insistence that no change has taken place. Stage two: Anger that the situation could occur, possibly directed to others. Stage Three: Beginning to accept the reality of the situation, but trying to 'bargain' for a bit more time to live, whether through expressions of religious belief or increased compliance with medical instructions. Stage Four: Depression, characterized be feelings of hopelessness and despair about what has already been lost and what else will be lost. Stage Five: Acceptance of the loss, and quiet discussions of death with closest friends and relatives. An emotional reprieve from negative emotions. Feelings of peaceful resignation about one's own fate. Lack of interest in, and withdrawal from, the everyday affairs of life, such as political affairs, social events, news stories, and so on.
  18. Worse than Blackpool?
  19. I don't even buy green bananas.
  20. The Great Escape spirit has slipped out through a tunnel whilst nobody was looking. I don't think it will be coming back.
  21. The only consolation for me was the chance to visit new grounds but I've already been to four of those. How about Yeovil, Bristol Rovers, Colchester, Southend, Swindon, Leyton Orient, Charlton? They're almost local derbies.
  22. We tried that and look where it got us.
  23. And next season as well.
  24. In our hearts we knew it was all over before today but somehow I feel cold and empty tonight. It's almost as though I've lost a long-loved friend. I think it's because we have absolutely nothing to look forward to next season. No team, no money, no hope.
  25. How is Delgado doing these days?
