  1. Indeed, I've just found it: i. Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be: In the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round Proper: £15.00 ii.A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The Away Club's spectators can only be charged more than the home team if agreed by both clubs. iii.The price for admission for children and senior citizens must be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned.
  2. Don't the prices have to be agreed with the opposition who get a percentage of the gate money?
  3. Who have we got?
  4. I went to Bournemouth last Saturday and saw him score their only goal. I would say he was a poor man's Lambert. He knows where the goal is and makes the right sort of runs. He's obviously knocking in the goals in L2 even though he's playing in a lightweight team but I'm not sure that he could make the step up to L1. Might be worth a look if he weren't too expensive, but I'll leave those decisons to AP and his team of helpers.
  5. He has some Wai to Go before he's playing at that level
  6. Our gnome record is second to none.
  7. I haven't refereed a Sunday match for a few years either, I know that getting officials for them is almost impossible now. I know what you mean about fans, though. I was at Bournemouth last Saturday and they were appealing for offside from a goal-kick!
  8. Oops, sorry I didn't see the 'Northampton bit' :smt087 Communication between ref and lino is usually by eye contact and most refs take the throw-in decisions if there is any doubt and the ball is up 'their end' of the pitch. You'll often see them making little gestures with their arms down by their sides and their fingers trying to point. You're right, of course, ball out of play is a fundamental decision which will always be left to the lino. Sticking the flag straight up is discouraged even at Sunday morning levels because it can look indecisive. It should be done by eye contact.
  9. Yep, it was all quite exciting at the time. :---)
  10. I disagree. I thought all of his decisioins were spot on and as for the communication between the ref and his assistant, who knows what methods they had agreed on in the pre-match briefing?
  11. Let me see.... ok, done that, now what?
  12. I thought they'd left the club?
  13. They'd have to pay me more than that.
  14. For those who haven't seen it yet, the highlight on BBC. We are at 5:37 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8391793.stm
  15. James was very good last night. My criticism of him has always been when he plays full-back.
  16. But that's nearly half the division!
  17. No, let's face it he's offside. In all my experience )and I have run the line quite a few times myself) everyone who has ever been flagged has always blamed the lino. The fellow on the line is trained to do the job and he is independent and he gets it right most of the time, which I would put at better than 95%.
  18. We thought an electric collar would be good. My neighbour looked up a translation of 'Ndiaye Papa Waigo' on the internet and it said 'offside pillock', but I don't know what language he was using.
  19. He looked absolutely knackered in the last 10 minutes last night. Maybe it was the after-effects of the virus or maybe he just needs to get a bit fitter.
  20. I agree that he's a better option than Antonio but Waigo also 'somehow shot over from three yards', to quote the BBC.
  21. I disagree, of course, but it doesn't matter what you and I think, there's only one person with the flag. Waigo gets given offside far more than any other player in any team that I have seen so far so he must be doing something wrong.
  22. Our 10 point deduction equates to a loss of 0.217 points per game, and if we apply it pro-rata to the season so far would give us 24.87 points and 11th position, just below Swindon. Our playing record to date is very similar to Millwall's but we had a poor start to the season and we now have Lambert, Hammond, Connolly and Waigo. I would expect us to finish comfortably above 10th, somewhere around the fringes of the playoff positions. To actually finish in the playoffs I think that we would need to beat those teams currently in positions 4 to 10, namely Colchester, Huddersfield, Bristol Rovers, Walsall, Millwall, MK Dons, Swindon.
  23. No, he was offside on every occasion and it happens every game with different officials on the line. I've changed my mind a bit since the Brighton game where on one occasion our player (Connolly?) seemed to be at least three yards onside so I looked through the recording and to my surprise he was indeed offside. He's better than Antonio, though, and we should be able to beat his offsides out of him.
  24. I started reading this thread without noticing the dates and it just shows how much opinions can change, but maybe that's because his performances have changed. Whether that is down to the manager, coaching, atmosphere at the club or the attitude of the player is open to question, or maybe he is more suited to playing in a lower league.
  25. I was very impressed by him last night, and it takes a lot to impress me. He was hardly a gift though, didn't we pay £1m for him?
