  1. Agreed. I've gone from 'running out of games' to 'run out of games'. i'm still clinging to the hope that is Tuesday night. Until Wednesday, that is.
  2. Seems reasonable to me.
  3. To all those who claim that Lowe has cut cost I have only two words to say: Morgan Schneiderlin
  4. Didn't that used to be Brighton? I'm sure that they used to cut the bottoms out of the bags and put the numbers on the back with felt-tip pens. Have you thought about ground-sharing with them? It would save on having to repaint the stadium between home games.
  5. Nice to hear from you again, our old fishy friend. Enjoy it while it lasts and come back again when you have replaced your corrugated-iron lean-to with a proper stadium. perhaps you'd like to rent one up this way? You'd all have to play in red and white stripes, mind.
  6. Basically, after the cut-off date the points are applied when and where it's going to hurt the most.
  7. Same difference. Rent / mortgage repayments. All we are arguing over is the freehold title.
  8. Thanks for your kind thoughts. It's a funny old game....
  9. Sleep well, dear friend, tomorrrow is a bright new day. :)
  10. I think it would have to be something like that. Some form of 'debenture' scheme.
  11. That would make quite a good statue. :smt017
  12. Good idea. Count me in for a few thousand, as long as it's watertight.
  13. It doesn't amount to much.
  14. All oil and mineral rights belong to the state.
  15. Chelsea have much bigger debts than we do.
  16. What do you chaps do all night? Sit glued to the news feeds? Thanks anyway, you all perform a valuable service for the rest of us lazy sods.
  17. I think that the present rules were brought in after Leeds tried to pull a fast one. I don't know how that relates to Derby. I must admit, until I started reading about Derby on this forum I didn't know that they had gone into administration.
  18. Let me get this straight... The Football Club and the PLC are separate legal entities so the fact that the PLC who happen to own the club, amongst other things, goes into administration may not necessarily have any bearing on the operation of the Football Club. Presumably it will all boil down to whether the club will have received any write-off of debts, preferential loans, all that sort of thing, that would give it an 'unfair' advantage over other clubs in the same league. So what I am saying is, the decision to apply any sanction to us will depend on the specific details of the relationship between the PLC and the Club. have I got it right?
  19. Won't they lose any chance of recovering their money?
  20. I was quite happy at the Dell.
  21. I hadn't thought of that!
  22. Traditionally clubs would charge a nominal £1 for the use of the pitch and stadium facilities. This one would seem to have been diferent.
  23. That's the first time I've laughed in two weeks.
  24. Perhaps there were no buyers?
  25. The important thing is how we move on from here, and I sincerely hope that Lowe has nothing more to do with the club. The cost-cutting should have started when we were relegated and a lot of money has been squandered, not just on Woodward, but I do remember Lowe stating that 'the club would survive' because the players had relegation clauses in their contracts. It must be quite clear now that the management team that we had in the Premier League was not suited to the financial restraints of the CCL.
