Unless she’s with Virgin Media.

To force them to do something that they don’t agree with.

That still is damning. Three unmarked Norwich players, or if not actually unmarked they are not covered. Two Saints midfielders chasing one player. Two Saints players jogging back letting the three Norwich players get ten yards on them. Stephens is too advanced and should be at least three yards nearer goal.
-
But that hasn’t happened this season.

“When I was 18 I thought my parents knew nothing. When I was 23 I was surprised how much they had learned in such a short time”

We agree. There’s no comparison apart from possibly their passion. We can therefore conclude that passion is not enough to make a good footballer.

These new measures have not been introduced unilaterally by individual referees. The commands come from higher up. Whether we agree with them or dislike them we are stuck with them for the time being. Perhaps the players and training staff will adapt over time remains to be seen but we are talking about footballers here who are not renowned for their intelligence.

Everybody has an angle. Everybody has a bias. How about all the people who will lose their livelihoods as a result of this measure? Look, for years the rest of the country has supported London and suffered the effects of it. It has polluted everything downstream and downwind.

To even mention Stephens and Bednarek in the same text as Ronaldo is illustrative of the gulf between them.
-
I don’t disagree with the first part of what you say here but he didn’t cost us any goals yesterday and on that defensive showing I would think that there were far more productive areas to concentrate on if we are to stop shipping goals. To put it another way, it wouldn’t have mattered who we had in goal on this occasion. He was at the near post because there was an unmarked attacker there. Suddenly both Stephens and Bednarek decide that the right thing for them to do was to come across and stand behind him completely ignoring the eventual goalscorer. Had he been in the centre of the goal I doubt he would have even stretched far enough to pick Sargent’s nose.
-
Because you might have had a different opinion.
-
I was not to impressed with Edozie yesterday. Amo-Ameyaw had more influence in his limited time on the pitch but a full match?
-
Not a chance. We’re you there?

But this is the point, isn’t it. The outer boroughs don’t want it and the businesses there are the ones who will lose their customers and with them their custom. I don’t want to drive my van or my car through Central London but I do want to be able to visit the outskirts occasionally. Public transport there is sporadic at the best of times.

Five defenders plus goalkeeper and three unmarked attackers. Not to mention the full back who had all the time and space in the world to pick out his target.
-
Not my logic. It is the logic of the extremist. The dictator who overrides local needs and wishes.
-
According to such arguments why not just pedestrianise the whole lot?
-
“A new study commissioned by the GLA” Didn’t I mention this above?
-
Perhaps not, but it only belongs in Ice Hockey and even then it is naff.
-
That is meaningless piffle and has no place in football this side of the Atlantic.
-
And exactly how was he supposed to do that with any of the four goals yesterday?
-
And the ‘point after’
-
Stephens wasn’t at fault for their fourth and I don’t know hat Manning thought he was trying to do. I can only think that as a left back he must be left footed and is not very good with his right. He didn’t even need to try to clear it. He only needed to get out of the way.
-
Don’t be so ridiculous. Watch that goal again before you come back on here and apologise.
-
Exactly. “If he’d gone the right way”. Maybe AA ‘sent’ him that way?
