  1. That’s your definition. Coming out to snatch the ball off the feet of a striker who’s through on goal is also a save.
  2. I’ve said this before but our style of walking football is never going to get the blood racing.
  3. Too close for comfort though. Any team can fluke a goal at any time and one unlucky bounce can cost you a win. But the more important point is that there is no need for it to be like this. Being ‘well on top’ does not mean passing the ball around in your own half just trying to be too clever. I lost count of the number of times that we carelessly lost possession inside our own half. A better team would have punished us.
  4. Literally not true.
  5. That has to be a foul on the keeper. Not for it’s intensity but because there is a separate category for ‘preventing the keeper from releasing the ball’.
  6. Or how you can record it on Virgin Media to watch later?
  7. I would
  8. People who can’t spot sarcasm.
  9. In general I agree with you but you can’t let money rule the game. I have always been against VAR and I have seen no reasons to change my mind. Seeing that game in Paris tonight shows that it’s not just the EPL that has problems.
  10. VAR last night simply got in the way of a football match. It’s impossible to judge a foul by looking at a slow motion replay and the more times you look at it the more it will appear deliberate. Bin it.
  11. It’s bad management to ball out your workers in public. By all means have a go at them behind the scenes but you should always support them publicly.
  12. So you think Bristol City will score at least three own goals?
  13. It’s reactive. Waiting for the opposition to make a mistake. Or maybe fall asleep through boredom.
  14. Surely he’s been in charge long enough that the players must know by now how they are supposed to play?
  15. But does it actually suck the opposition in? At St. Mary’s all they need to do is maintain their shape leaving a couple up front to run and chase whilst waiting for us to make our predictable mistakes. Another aspect of this possession obsession is that it does nothing to get the crowd warmed up to anything like a fever pitch. Where is the passion?
  16. Bad workmen always blame their tools.
  17. Providing they take McCarthy too.
  18. That’s very naughty of them. Name and shame is an option. These people rely upon having a good reputation.
  19. Always sad to hear such terrible news. My condolences to all those concerned and affected.
  20. I’m still waiting for mine 😔
  21. Me too. I don’t think it was the rum that I drank.
  22. Do you think the size of the penalty was set so as to make sure of this?
  23. Two matches. Stoke and Millwall, both were away games. I agree with you.
