  1. 'Despise' is too mild a word. As a certain lady nearly said, "Just rejoice in that result". FWIW I thought that Wrexham created some gilt-edged chances. Was in Coady who put that cross over the bar from the six yard line? And ‘imagine how bad it would have been if chances were converted' are not words that i used or a point that i was trying to make.
  2. It’s much harder to create shots on goal when your build up is so slow that the opposition just drop back into their defensive shape so easily. That’s what fannying about at the back enables. The system adds more risk to us than our opponents. Reactions: FrazzGers, david1872, broxibearrfc and 13 others..............................................just like our seasons with him and they are only 2 games in.................. This crabby crawling football needs to be consigned to the dustbin of history. There is no glory in it.
  3. Not really relevant though is it. They had good chances that better finishing would have converted. You can't really criticise any keeper for a shot that's blazed way over the bar or hits the top of the crossbar.
  4. Give those Turkish barbers a challenge.
  5. Thanks for this. Was it really only two days ago?
  6. Hard and low. Always difficult to save.
  7. It would be typical of us to sign an out of date has-been.
  8. These affairs are not straightforward. Payments are made through third person companies and other things like 'image rights' are traded as well. These are not simple employment contracts.
  9. As in "The boy Lynaco done good"? 😉
  10. Indeed but I dread to think of the others 😱
  11. I missed that one. I was away travelling and pillaging.
  12. The 'South' was added to Southampton quite recently. Just after 962.
  13. You should hear what he says about you 😉
  14. He has a lot to work on. I felt that his positioning was a bit lopsided at times but hopefully that game will have done his confidence some good.
  15. What struck me was that for most of the game the Wrexham forwards were quicker off a standing start and frequently got a few yards ahead of our defenders but I'm the last 15 minutes or so Wrexham sat back and tried to hold on to their lead by any means but were eventually overwhelmed by our superior fitness. It does help of course that we could bring on such effective substitutes.
  16. Wrong in your view, of course, but that is the nature of refereeing. A lot of it is a matter of opinion.
  17. Your view is as valid as anybody's but thankfully there was only one that mattered. Perhaps we can all agree that shoving Moore was a stupid thing to do. Of course as soon as he felt the hands on his back he dived but that doesn't change anything.
  18. That would be an extremely interpretation. In my view (and the referee's) his arm had every right to be there. Where else could he put it, and please don't say behind his back.
  19. The 'other circumstance ' being that defined in the sentence above. It wasn't a DOGSO. This is z poor photo. Perhaps some kind soul could invert it for me?
  20. Even with VAR they would have been referred to the referee but only if the VAR official felt that there was a strong case for it. As you say, I think we're better off without it.
  21. That has changed. And quite right too. The previous interpretation was a nonsense. Tucking the arms behind the back is no longer necessary. In my view that defenders arm was in a natural position.
  22. Blatant to you, perhaps, but not to an impartial observer. That player was holding his head and I don't think the referee saw the incident. The actual stoppage came some time later, didn't it?
  23. The holding arms behind your back business went out a couple of seasons ago when the interpretation was 'clarified'. The shot on goal bit is not relevant.
  24. The crucial wording here is "in all other circumstances"
