  1. The shot went a few feet past his outstretched hand. Not a chance. There’s a better view of it in the highlights from the Itchen side.

  3. I thought he was??? Edit No he wasn’t. Wishful thinking on my part.
  4. The EU cannot give us any better deal. They have to protect and preserve the Single Market and cannot give any ‘third country’ anything better than they give to any other non-member. WTO Rules regarding MFN don’t allow for it. Besides, isn’t that exactly what Leavers voted for?
  5. Perspective? How do you know that there are only two complaints? 31,172 attended and there are 1013 online on this forum. And how many of those actually went to the game?
  6. It’s a complete mess. They’ve been learning from our defence.
  7. I normally defend referees but Mariner was leaning so far in one direction that I'm surprised he didn't fall over.
  8. A season ticket was left on the Bluestar bus route #1 in Chandler's Ford just now. The driver is taking it back to their depot. Seat KK 0653. I have the owner's name if needed.
  9. Too sloppy Too faint-hearted
  10. There will not be a 'triumphant Brexit' and you've spelt bellend wrong.
  11. The science is incomplete.
  12. I use the National Rail one which is a bit quirky but does also give you live train times.
  13. N The point is that if they had started sending them out several weeks ago it would allow time to sort them out.
  14. Indeed, and he would do a job for Sterling too!
  15. Maunder Minimum and Dalton Minimum. Both periods were a prolonged absence of sunspots. The number of Indian Ocean cyclones correlates strongly with the number of sunspots. Have a look for Jasper Kirkby and what he says about sunspots and the price of corn (Benjamin Franklyn?) But we are wandering away from Brexit...
  16. Isn't that all a bit semantic? All I'm concerned about is whether or not my house gets wiped out by a mile-high glacier sometime soon. Brexit or not we can be sure that if there is an ice age soon the Remainers will blame it on Brexit and the Leavers will blame it on the EU.
  17. Are you implying that there are some players at Saints who are not 'earning' their money?
  18. Er... The Laurentide Ice Sheet that covered Canada and a large part of North America retreated not much more than 10,000 years ago. We are at present in an interglacial period. https://energyeducation.ca/encyclopedia/Glacial_and_interglacial_periods
  19. I think it is a moral responsibility for those earning a lot of money to give something back to the society in which they earnt it.
  20. Didn’t he join around the same time as Pahars? Sometimes a club will sign two countrymen as an aid to settling in.
  21. And three years later our economy is sh1t. If you think we’re doing ok then you don’t realise what we could have had. Cut out the childish, snidish comments and instead start looking at the world around you. That world is much bigger than a tiny corner of Hampshire.
  22. So wages have still not reached the level of ten years ago and what has Germany got to do with us? I don’t know what you thought these figures demonstrated nor what you were trying to prove.
  23. He confuses ‘productivity’ with ‘production’. True, they are both long words and sticking with them to the end requires extreme concentration;)
