Talk to Rob Harris about this and you might change your mind. He was in charge of Tranmere v Sunderland in the FA Cup in January 2000 when Tranmere ended up with eleven on the pitch despite having a man sent off. I met Rob a few months later at a referee’s meeting when he came over from the Isle of Wight to talk to us. He accepted total responsibility for the incident but felt that he was entitled to some help from the other officials.

Theresa May and the death of the Tory Party
Whitey Grandad replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
If you have given money to the Brexit Party you do realise that it is going straight into Fagage's offshore bank accounts?* 'The Brexit Party' is a limited company with a self-elected leader. Not a trace of democracy to be found anywhere. You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment *allegedly. Other untraceable deposits are available. -
They are to start with. There is a lot that's wrong with penalties today, encrocahmnet being one of them.

With VAR the assistant on the line is told not to raise his flag for offside unless it is obvious. The 'thinking' is that te VAR referee can always sort it out later. I don't like it myself.

Theresa May and the death of the Tory Party

Me too. I gave the Tory scum my support all my life and they've dumped me in the sh!t. I trusted them as the party of business. Now they can go whistle. -
Obvious, isn't it. Defender goes to ground clutching his head, attack over.
-
At present the goalkeeper can move as much as he wants provided he stays on his line. Previously (many years ago) he couldn't move until the ball was kicked. "The defending goalkeeper must remain on the goal line, facing the kicker, between the goalposts until the ball has been kicked."
-
No more dropped balls? There will still be circumstances where it is appropriate. Ball trapped under a player, outside interference of any kind.

A manifesto is a wishlist and nothing more than that. -
TV coverage of games: TV directors who cut to the cameraman down by the corner flag just as the player out there crosses the ball. Replays of non-events being shown whilst the gam,e is going on. Shots of managers on the sidelines whilst the game is going on. Commentators who scream a player's name at the top of their voices just as they blast a shot way over the bar.

Two words: “coming up” Talking over the credits at the end of films. Shrinking the credits so you can’t read them just so they can tell you what’s on next. Recapitulating the story so far after every advert break People who say “would of” Drums at football games (actually this is a big thing for me) People who don’t thank you when you hold the door for them or let their car through before you. That irritating uptalk? How long have we got?

But they have a title to defend, doncha know.

It depends. If she is a good cook and keeps the house tidy then...

It swings both ways?

Does it come with the creases built in or do you have to develop them yourself?

Yes, she caught my eye too, the first thing that I noticed in that photo It's a classic case of Beauty and the Beast.

Is that the FA Cup that they bought with public money?

Ah! So he’s after the job too
-
Presumably that means 4 wins in 24? I would look up there record but I can’t be arsed. It doesn’t sound so bad when you put it like that.

"Never believe a rumour until you hear it officially denied"

It's not very funny, not clever and very disrespectful.

Ridiculous and all very disappointing. Haven't we as a country got past the stage of highlighting somebody's ethnicity instead of their capabilities? Every time that some idiot tries to make a differentiation based on skin colour or physical appearance they are perpetuating outdated stereotypes. Such people are the worst type of racist. Hughton was a decent player and a decent manager, not the greatest but always gave his best. He won't be the first manager to lose his job after this past season.
