  1. We agree! He should have stuck to the man he was marking.
  2. Or because he was too busy giggling at all the money that he was making.
  3. Ok, thanks. Yep, from behind the head, thrown and not dropped etc.
  4. And is also major shareholder in ‘The Brexit Party Ltd’ And as such will receive the majority of the dividends. Not for nothing does he bank at Coutts. For him Brexit is a nice little earner. Actually not so little.
  5. That’s because he was, and we suffered because of it. I was one of his biggest critics. It took him a long while to adjust to the Premier League which is why clubs like Liverpool prefer to let clubs like us develop them first.
  6. I didn’t watch the game but what makes you say that?
  7. Childish, very childish. Not the best way to start a career in international politics and diplomacy. Get back to the playground where you belong. If you really hate the EU then why did you stand as an MEP?
  8. The ball was crossed from the right but Stephens ran away from his man and up the pitch towards the edge of the penalty area, but you're right he's useless at marking. Goes off chasing rabbits.
  9. That’s what they will tell you publicly but money plays a big part. In my day doing engineering we had a five day week of four hours of attendance and three hours on a Saturday. They liked to keep the afternoons free so that we students could attend some sporting activities. I played football on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Those studying English had to produce one essay a fortnight.
  10. Not just you.
  11. He runs away from the ball. I still have a nightmare vision of him at Wembley running away from Ibrahimovic and allowing him a free header.
  12. Good. Now that means that he can play for us against Liverpool.
  13. Welcome Che. Good news on the transfer front. Who’s next?
  14. All the best, Matt. Thanks for that thumping header against Bournemouth.
  15. Cambridge has a straight eight week term. Most universities like to keep longer main vacations as they can make money out of hosting conferences and seminars.
  16. “he never let us down when he played”? Good heavens, when he played at left back he left the flank wide open.
  17. “without getting an opportunity” He had enough of those to demonstrate that he wasn’t up to it.
  18. Win London? He daren't show his face there ever again. Universally derided. Wasted pot loads of money and not one of his policies was a success.
  19. Under Boris not a chance.
  20. It doesn’t have to. There are times when you’ve just got to clear the current danger and if we have forwards who are alive to it then it puts pressure back on the opposition further up the field. If it becomes obvious that aerial balls are not getting them anywhere then they stop doing them. Not only that, when you have someone like Stephens who won’t head the ball then the opposition will stick some big lump up against hi. ‘A commanding centre half’ is what I want, I suppose. Perhaps I should have said ‘capable of clearing the ball past the halfway line’.
  21. I’ve never heard of him, to be honest, but that means nothing
  22. A proper, old-fashioned centre-half. Someone who can win a header and clear the ball past the halfway line.
