  1. My neighbour at SMS said that he had written to the club and that their reply sas that they would be looking into it over the summer. His view was that attacking towards their own fans in the second half gave visiting teams a significant advantage.
  2. Is she called Joy and is she little?
  3. "proper fans"? Any fan is a proper fan. And no drums please, God no! You don't create atmosphere by making a lot of noise, you drown it out.
  4. (Sir) Michael Palin
  5. Yeah, that's ********. It isn't a rebate in any sense of the word. We don't hand over money and then get some given back. We only ever pay the reduced amount. A better term is 'discount' although 'abatement' or 'correction' are equally as good. Politicians like the term 'rebate' because it makes it look as if we're getting something back, but we don't. However it's referred to it is definitely not true that "We send the EU £350million a week" http://www.europarl.europa.eu/thinktank/en/document.html?reference=EPRS_BRI(2016)577973
  6. There is no rebate. We pay an agreed reduced amount which is a lot less thatn £350m per week. Still a lot of money but more than offset by the extra government revenues that arise from our membership of the Single Market.
  7. There is no such place as ‘Oxbridge’
  8. Did it have the words "Bird Feeder" written on the outside of the box in big letters?
  9. I am reminded of Oscar Wilde: "One must have a heart of stone to read the death of little Nell without laughing.”
  10. You can’t join the Brexit Party. All you can do is give it money as a ‘supporter’. Your wonder has now got even bigger.
  11. The Tory manifesto promised “a smooth, orderly Brexit” and “a deep and special partnership” with the EU. Labour pledged “retaining the benefits” of the single market and customs union. (David Smith, The Times) A WTO Brexit (no such thing) would be an unmitigated disaster. No claiming necessary. If anybody says otherwise then they are a bigger fool than they would appear.
  12. You never saw those two in the same room together did you. Just sayin'....
  13. That's why they have to slow down enough to take a photograph.
  14. "has made their body unnaturally bigger" Has the arm swollen to twice its normal size?
  15. It wasn't that sort of a referendum, nothing mandatory about it, and there is no requirement for any vote to be implemented either nor anything to preclude holding another subsequent vote. That's a fundamental point of British Parliamentary democracy. No Parliament can bind a successor.
  16. Most of my heart surgeons wore crocs
  17. Jersey in the Channel Islands has ‘filter in turn’ which is similar to a multi-way stop.
  18. It depends what has to suffer because of it. The flow of the game for a start.
  19. Disgraceful. And stupid. One way not to guarantee a sympathetic write-up.
  20. I agree with you. My concern with VAR is that slow-motion can make an accidental handball look deliberate and that the more times you see ar eplay then the more it looks as though the defender could have got out of the way.
  21. At least you have ‘right on red’. And multi-way stop signs. I think they work quite well.
  22. Just a thought... How do you know where the camera is? It takes me an age at St. Mary’s trying to see where Kenzie is doing her interviews.
  23. Let’s not forget that a cyclist on a bike and not in a car is leaving the road that little bit emptier for the rest of us.
