  1. What money in the bank was that?
  2. Great! Get him in until the summer and then get a long term replacement. Sorted
  3. If you sack a useless manager do you lose more face than if you're relegated?
  4. Normally the price for the club reflects its standing and earnings potential. If someone is buying it merely for prestige then a Premier League club would be disproportionately more than one in the Championship. It's always possible that there might be some other nefarious motive of course. Nothing makes sense about our current course of inaction.
  5. Overall the payouts are much more if we stay in the league and don't get relegated.
  6. The most worrying thing about that is that he’ll still be here at the end of the season. Throw in a World Cup when all the decent replacements will be out in Russia and possibly some of the players too and we won’t be prepared for next season.
  7. ....after he leaves us?
  8. No fixed term contract would contain such a clause and every contract can be bought out so Puel could not have had the same thing.
  9. I paid £1500 for our two for my grandson and me and I’ve had to miss a lot of games this season. Any ideas how much they will be for next season and will be able to wait until after we’re relegated before we renew?
  10. Did Kat choose which players to buy, pick the team and tell them how to play?
  11. The five years bit is just to increase their value when they’re sold. It doesn’t mean that we expect them to be here that long. VVD was on a five year contract and look what happened to him.
  12. I don’t agree that the lack of a goalscorer was the problem. It was the awful, dire turgid football that we had to endure.
  13. Nobody likes to hear ‘I told you so’ But you told us so.
  14. Indeed, but they all have to play as a unit.
  15. Absolutely this. This clown of a manager is unfit for purpose. We should get our money back.
  16. It depends if they are on relegation clauses.
  17. This is the crux of it. It’s a piece of **** for two centre halves to take the ball off a single centre forward. It’s what my dad used to call two-ing him, one makes the challenge and the other picks up the loose ball.
  18. As they said on MOTD, “It’s all possession football with no goal at the end of it”
  19. I was taking it as a given that we would have new management.
  20. Normally the chairman, possibly in consultation with the owners.
  21. Saturday matches, 3 o’clock kickoffs, proper football.
  22. This is down to more than one person.
  23. I’ll do it for £1.5m I couldn’t do any worse.
