  1. I can’t decide either. I don’t know what the assistant thought he saw but it wasn’t a foul. It doesn’t have to be deliberate. Sometimes they get so caught up in the action that they see things that aren’t there. One incident that I thought was very suspect and that still bugs me was at Old Trafford on 10th May 1995. It was a midweek game and the season was ending on the following Sunday. For some reason my wife had come with us but was sitting in a seat some way away. We were drawing 1-1 at halftime and I said to my wife that if we were still drawing at 80 minutes then the first time that they got into our penalty area they would get a penalty. Sure enough someone has a slight tug on Andy Cole’s sleeve and the referee Paul Danton pounces on it like a cat pounces on a mouse. He couldn’t give it quick enough. The title race went to the last Sunday and Blackburn ended up winners. Sky sold a lot of satellite dishes in that last week.
  2. A very sensible post. To be honest, from what I saw on MOTD I didn’t think he looked too bad.
  3. Do you think the insurance would have paid out without proof that his injury was so bad that he couldn’t play again? That’s always assuming that we have insurance for this sort of thing.
  4. We have spent all season trying to be least worst team.
  5. At least Vestergaard is not afraid to head the ball.
  6. “log term solution”? A log has more positional sense and is more mobile.
  7. We can’t afford to play him.
  8. Yep. Very clear dive 7.3/10
  9. I can only assume that it was Ralph wanting to have a closer look at fringe players.
  10. He was late coming out for Bournemouth’s second goal too. A couple of yards behind all the others. I don’t think it would have been quite enough to get the goal ruled out but very close.
  11. And they will finish above us.
  12. Missing him already?
  13. How the feck did we miss out on him? He's another one that slipped through the net
  14. Robbie Savage on the BBC: "We're going to have to see one of Liverpool's greatest nights ever in the second leg." Pass me the sick bag.
  15. Might not be enough. Away goals count for a lot. If liverpool don't score tonight I can't see Barca not scoring at Anfield.
  16. I can't see the logic in some of these arguments. If we sold him we would most probably get what he was worth. To replace him with similar quality and abilities we would need to pay a similar amount. We would lose a large wodge of agents' fees out of it. What's the point?
  17. In Ralph I trust.
  18. I'll be there with my grandson but I'll wait for the next credit card period before renewing.
  19. Armstrong had only been on the pitch a few minutes when he gets robbed of the ball in the centre circle. He had plenty of time to pass to a teammate. He wasn't on long enough to get tired.
  20. But who cares?
  21. That doesn't stop Rupert Murdoch. Perhaps it's something about Ruperts?
  22. It wasn't 'over half the electorate'. Typical Brexiteer, exaggerating everything;)
  23. Took his goal well last night. A mark of a confident player.
  24. "a couple"? In my view it has been a lot more than that.
