Let's hope so! Dinner on me this time

I'd take it I have a bank account in Nigeria just waiting for it.

Was that the last ever game at WHL? Fabulous result, who'd 'a thought it.

Yes, yes, but which is which???

One thing about Apple MAC PCs is that they generally last much longer than other makes. In principle the commands are similar but they take some getting used to. Fore instance instead of a CTRL key there is one marked CMD (looks like a cross section of the Tower of London) which you use in conjuncion with others. Uninstalling programs is a doddle, just drag them to the recycle bin. Right-click should also give you a range of options. You should be able to find all the help you need on the web somewhere, just ddon't expect an operator's manual from Apple. Explore and have fun!

For me, Leicester have won it with their defence. First keep a clean sheet and the rest will follow. As for good football, I like to see pace and movement, a team where the players have instinctive understanding of each other, defence-splitting passes into spaces that I didn't know existed. Unfortunately I don't think we've come near to that this season and I don't think the constant team changes help either. It's interesting to see that Leicester have tended to keep the same team most of the time.

We'd never hear the end of it. I had enough trouble keeping down the vomit over tonight's commentary.

The climate is always changing. I have only argued about who or what to blame.
-
Well that's what I'm saying, we need to win both games and hope. If we remain in 8th place then we get nothing, right? Also.... do I want Liverpool to get thrashed tonight, or do I want them to scrape through but still finish below us? If they get through then they may concentrate on the final and ease up on the league. Alternatively if they get knocked out then they may redouble their league efforts in order to qualify for next season.

Nothing has been agreed, merely proposed. (hence your asterisks?) Brussels can propose what it likes but it's up to the members to agree to it's proposals. In the present climate that's unlikely. Even the Schengen arrangements are being suspended. Turkey has to be kep onside by dangling carrots but they will be kept out of reach. No, I don't believe a word Cameron or any other politician says either. He changes his words to suit his audience. The point remains that accession would require unanimity and one way to prevent Turkey from joining is to remain in the EU and veto it
-
Does it make any difference to us? We still need to win our last two games and hope for the best, don't we?
-
Actually the legal situation would be extremely complicated and would take decades to unravel. Please see today's Times. Also you have things round the wrong way. Our laws are ratified by us, not Brussels.
-
But in what way would us being in or out of the EU have any difference to Turkish nationals being able to come to Britain? (There is an article in today's Times quoting Cameron as saying the Turkey's accession is decades away at the earliest but nobody's going to believe anything he says, not even me. France alone would need to hold a referendum first and every other country would have to agree but keep on raising unnecessary fears.)

They're just plans. We are not part of Schengen and can keep out anyone we choose to.

Really? I was born within kicking distance of WHL and my sister used to have a newspaper shop in Harringay. It must have improved a hell of a lot since then if you're that impressed. -
Hm, I suppose he might get make the bench.
-
Thanks. That's pretty much the same as Leicester, allowing for inflation.

I rather liked the first goal

Are you going to walk out halfway through? -
Yes, I believe they are. The owner swapped debt for equity, didn't ours do the same?

Didn't Ranieri say that his brief had been 'to avoid relegation'? Perhaps Dalek was right after all, perish the thought
