  1. Let's hope justice will be done. You can't go shooting a load of bullets through a door knowing that there's a person on the other side without having some desire to kill them. He has to take responsibility for his actions.
  2. They weren't just on target. They were low down and in the corners. None of our players can hit shots like that.
  3. My thoughts too.
  4. I wouldn't blame the keeper for any of their goals. Crisp shots low down or up in the corner. He was left too exposed by the so-called defence.
  5. Oh, the game? I was trying to erase it. Five of their goals came through our right side but we can't blame Maya tonight. Sturridge was top class. That Origi looked very good. They all played to their system and everyone knew what they had to do. Why can't our player shoot hard and low into the corners?
  6. I stayed right to the final whistle in order to avoid the crowds on the way home:)
  7. I thought he did? Who was that with JWP at the end?
  8. Or doing your elbow by sweeping up leaves?

  10. It would explain a lot
  11. Not necessarily. With penalties it could go to 22:40 or so. The walk to the station is about 20 minutes. Probably best to run

Were the others that bad? (I must admit that I couldn't actually go to this one)
  13. Yes indeed. And a settled back four. This constant changing does our defence no good at all.
  14. At least you got something out of the evening
  15. Nor that dreadful drumming at Palace.
  16. We couldn't afford his wages. Not without upsetting the whole pay structure.

It's the cult of the manager. All you get on TV is continual shots of the bench even when there's a game going on. I even remember one game on BBC when they had a shot of a brick wall which was the side of a dugout and the commentary was along the lines of "...and in that dugout the manager will be deciding whether to make any changes...". FFS there's a game going on and we get shown a brick wall! Incidentally, there is no mention of a manager or coach in The Laws of the Game except to say that they have to keep off the pitch and stick to their designated areas.
  18. Fixed it for you
  19. To be fair, on the few occasions that I've seen him play he didn't seem to do anything particularly wrong.

I've just checked, yes he did.

Maybe they were doing a favour for somebody.
  22. That's what I thought. I think the point of the article is that clubs seem willing to splash out on relatively unknown players from foreign leagues yet not do the same with our own lower leagues.
  23. Martin Samuel in The Mail thinks this fellow might be worth a punt: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3338721/Why-don-t-Premier-League-clubs-look-Jamie-Vardys-Conor-McLaughlin-not-exotic-story-s-Northern-Ireland-s-choice.html
  24. You were lucky! I had to get back to the coach and got completely soaked. A thoroughly miserable night.
