  1. The giveaway in our box was the worst but yes, he hasn't got a clue how to run down the end of a game. Thank goodness for Long.
  2. This. With all the subs and the goal celebration 4 minutes is not unusual and as you say, first half stoppages are dealt with at the end of the first half.
  3. Just to let you know... My Tapatalk HD is playing up since the update. The quotes are only displaying as text and sometimes all I get are blank posts.
  4. Mané was superb - slippery as an eel. He still can't strike a ball properly but I'll happily take him clubbing the ball into goal for the rest of the season Djuricic looked lively, reminded me a lot of Gastón Ramirez. Forster made a couple of very important saves which kept us in the game. Still too many loose and sloppy passes, almost inviting the opposition to score. Overall, an enormous sense of relief, but I'm not sure what the rest of the season holds.
  5. Custom and practice? Anything discriminatory due to one of a long list of conditions? As above, proper advice is advised.
  6. But we might draw them in the Champions League.
  7. Tuesday Tuesday
  8. The root cause of all our problems. I'm surprised you can't see that.
  9. 150,000 non-EU students come here every year. 50,000 of them leave.
  10. You forgot to mention that we're busy charging our own students £9000 a year to get trained. Why bother when we can import them cheaper?
  11. Probably reminding his players to waste more time,
  12. This is obvious in TV coverage of a live game. All the inactive time is filled with endless replays and shots of the managers an crowd.
  13. As a ref you'd normally give a warning or two before punishing a keeper for this. The Laws used to say 'about six seconds'. The 'about' has now been removed. A few seasons ago I used to watch this at the Premier level and the average time of possession of a keeper was about twelve seconds.
  14. There's a long-term plan at work here. If Champion League comes this season, all well and good, if not then there's always next season. Panic buys don't fit into that plan.
  15. Yes, I think we have absorbed too many changes at once, nothing beats a settled team. Of course, we did have a rush of injuries to contend with.
  16. Actually, I'm with both of you on this. Economic union, yes please, political union? Probably not.
  17. That depends on your definition of success.
  18. Immigrants get old and sick too and their children need schooling. What you are proposing is one giant Ponzi scheme. What nobody ever mentions is the capital cost of providing all this new housing. Then there is all the necessary infrastructure to go with it - roads, electricity, gas, water supply, sewerage, it goes on and on. Somebody has to pay for all this and if it hasn't been brought into the country with the immigrants, as is the case with countries such as New Zealand, then these costs have to come out of the existing economy. Then some smart Alec will remind us of our commitments to reducing the amount of CO2 we produce.
