  1. We have nothing to fear: they, however, must be quaking in their boots
  2. In the next few minutes on Sky Sports 1 I don't know of other channels.
  3. It was a fair question, fairly answered.
  4. I think David Howells still lives in Hedge End.
  5. Nice, I like it Definitely deliberate, he made the pass with the inside of his left foot.
  6. If you're going to troll at least try to make it less obvious.
  7. Brills. Ta muchly.
  8. I saw a lot of her at the Kings Theatre, Southsea, a lifetime ago. Can she play centre forward?
  9. 27th August - tomorrow- so after tomorrow night's matches I presume.
  10. Yes, of course you're right, but it depends on the type of footballer and the club they're at. A family man will see life differently from a young lad out on the town occasionally, and most of a footballer's working time is spent at the club's training ground. The Millwall captain, for example, has just moved next to my sister in Broxbourne and a lot of the Tottenham players have traditionally lived near them. And don't underestimate the influence of a player's wife on her husband's decision as to where to get a transfer to, Kelvin Davis was very keen to stay here because his wife liked the area and was settled, or so I hear. I don't suppose young Townsend fits into the family man category but I may do him a disservice.
  11. I'm jealous. How did he get it?
  12. Anyone who ever believed that we could do this is under a serious misapprehension.
  13. They're not the same two matches are they, nothing like it, no comparison apart from the names of the teams involved. The dates and circumstances are completely different.
  14. You're ignoring the mental aspect of it. Any player who has been to the World Cup needs longer to get back into the groove.
  15. I am and I do. I was born within kicking distance of White Hart Lane.
  16. How much milk did you get, enough for a bowl of cornflakes? (can you get cornflakes in Tokyo?)
  17. It doesn't mean that, other teams may have got stronger too so comparisons in terms of league position are not relevant.
  18. That's why it's called a training kit.
  19. Me too.
  20. This whole forum is a pointless waste of time but it keeps us bellends out of mischief and makes us feel important. For some of us these are the only friends we have
  21. Not difficult when Shaw isn't playing.
  22. I don't know and to be honest I don't care. At the end of the window I shall support the team that is here no matter what their names.
  23. But we'd have to hand £16m back, plus extras.
  24. Can we get one for £16m ?
  25. Bought shirts for two of my grandchildren on Saturday. The 11 year old had to have an adult medium and the 6 year old an 11-12. The sizing is a ridiculous joke.
