  1. Not bad, apart from the American spellings. And shouldn't it be 'don't care' rather than 'don't know' for the drinks? It's 50 years since my Latin O-level but wouldn't the Roman ask for a martinum?
  2. Hmm... seems rather far-fetched but at face value I can't find a reason to discount it. The collision avoidance issue is handled in this reference, the system relies on active cooperation from the other aircraft. Why anyone would want to do this is beyond my sphere of speculation but dealing with all the passengers and keeping them quiet would not be easy. There was some reference to the plane climbing to 45,000 feet which might be to knock them out but you could just as easily do this by venting the cabin pressure. If everything had gone 'according to plan' then you would think that we would have heard by now, but if something went wrong then you wouldn't expect the perpetrators to own up to anything. There's no way that I can see anything but am unhappy ending to this, if indeed there ever is any definite conclusion. It's very sad for all the relatives and loved ones.
  3. No need to apologise, KRG, it's a perfectly valid comment. I don't mind the passing it about amongst ourselves so much as the pass it across the back and wait for half-time that we had against Norwich. If the opposition aren't prepared to play ball and take the bait then it all becomes a rather pointless exercise. It is supposed to be an entertainment after all.
  4. The first half on Saturday was an example of what I was referring to. There were extended periods of endless passing the ball across the back four and back again with no attempt at forward passes which made the football tediously one-dimensional, indeed some players didn't even take the time to look for a forward pass. Not at any cost, certainly, but as a minimum I believe that there should always be some intent to get the ball further up the pitch. There are times when the ball has to be passed backwards in order to look for a better angle but often this happens when there appear to be possibilities further forward. How many times this season have we been beaten when we've had much higher possession percentages and the opposition have only had two or three chances but have scored from all of them?
  5. It's a common style of play but it doesn't half make for some boring football. Until somebody f*cks up, that is.
  6. It doesn't sit quite right with me. Why would you want a simulator when you have the real thing? It's like having a blow-up doll when you have a gorgeous supermodel lying next to you. I would imagine.
  7. I haven't concluded anything, nor have I excluded anything.
  8. Shouldn't it be KFT at Christmas?
  9. You can never really know what's going on inside someone's head.
  10. Who knows? Perhaps he listened to our complaints and changed his interpretation, perhaps he just doesn't like Man U.
  11. You can only really judge whether the flight simulator is relevant or not if you know how common it is for a commercial pilot to have such an installation at home. In general you'd want your employees to have some 'down time' from their work.
  12. What does he do for Christmas?
  13. Boruc had his own spot on MOTD2 last night. in the 2bad section they showed a selection of his kicking.
  14. Does yours look anything like this? http://resources1.news.com.au/images/2014/03/16/1226856/097881-eee5a7e0-ac93-11e3-bf6a-6ec13e402258.jpg
  15. You're right, of course, I remembered it as being 10 yards nearer our goal. It was still a crap attempt at a short pass that left us exposed at the back. There were several opportunities to retrieve the situation even after that.
  16. Vidic went flying in for a ball he was never going to get. Sturrridge certainly has previous but in this case I think he tries to avoid the lunge and does actually catch his foot (you can look at that either way) on Vidic's outstretched boot which is enough for a penalty. There was certainly a 'trip or attempt to trip' there. The later claim on Sturridge was a certain penalty. Certainly a booking for Vidic anyway. How long have we waited for a penalty to be awarded against Man U and now three come along in a row?
  17. Why would an experienced pilot with all the facilities available to him want to build a flight simulator in his home? He obviously didn't need the practice. Unless maybe he used to train other people in his spare time?
  18. No, it was a few yards upfield from the 'D' and the Norwich player had a clear run on goal. Fonte's was just a sloppy pass back towards goal that he played without looking.
  19. Not just you, I had to read it a few times but if you're being charitable you can blame auto-correct. I always do.
  20. We could very easily have conceded on several occasions due to him passing short balls to a player under pressure. As for his kicking, it was at least five that went straight into touch before he found the pitch, and it's a very big target. He knew it was bad and he acknowledged as much to the Chapel.
  21. He was pulled back so it would have been a foul.
  22. JWP was a very lucky boy. If they hadn't scored he'd have been sent off.
  23. Just a missing apostrophe, easily done on a smartphone. I've seen worse on here.
  24. Chelsea, far too good for us.
  25. Hmm... sloppier than a bagful of slops from the planet Slop on a sloppy day. I'll take the three points though Are we safe now?
