Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)
Whitey Grandad replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Lounge
I don't think the sceptical viewpoint has ever changed. -
That's unusual and unfortunate, a lot of providers let you pay off lump sums up to an annual limit. Still probably worth putting some away every month and not touching it for a year. You're quite right though, early repayment of some capital can drastically reduce the interest paid.

Quite common round your way, is it Pap?

Do they need Lambert? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2535115/Sam-Allardyce-closes-West-Ham-signing.html (Carroll could be back very soon).

A lot of the rebuttals on that Skeptical science bit are very subjective. What is this 'tipping point' they keep talking about? It hasn't happened yet in 4.5 billion years of earth's history. -
Qatar World Cup wont be held in the Summer

That'll f**k up three seasons then. -
It should reduce the length. As long as you've made it clear that you want the extra payments to come straight off the capital loan. I don't think it's the case now but many years ago some mortgage lenders would just tuck the extra payments somewhere safe and only do the recalculations once a year. If you're mathematically minded I can PM you the formula for interest rate, capital and repayments. It's basically a summation of a geometric series.
-
It's not been wasted. You've reduced the loan but presumably you've taken the option of keeping the term the same length which is why the monthly payments have gone down. If you speak to your mortgage people they should explain to you your options. Basically, the longer the period over which you pay off the loan then the more interest you will pay in total.

Would you sign him in that condition?

That wouldn't be my list and London wouldn't be on it either.

Yep, net proceeds in the 3rd 4th 5th & 6th rounds. The 10% goes to the FA pool to be shared amongst the league clubs later. If one of the teams is non-league then it is 50:40:10 with the 50 going to the non-league team. Replays are 47.5 : 47.5 : 10 : 5 with the 5 going to the FA. http://www.thefa.com/~/media/files/pdf/fa-competitions-1314/fa-cup/fa-cup-rules-2013-2014.ashx. Section 22 refers to proceeds. Section 21 ticket allocations. -
Much higher than that, I'm fairly certain. The plot is already serviced, of course.

Thanks, I normally only look at the pictures and don't normally get past the third page.

I'm afraid it won't. Supply and demand doesn't apply in many cases and this is one of them. Building costs are rising all the time. High-rising, in fact.

Nice, but no prices given for that development. I see they will have a communal pool/bath/toilet.

This made me laugh:

Interest, but horrifying at the same time. All right for some but not for me. (Brownfields are more expensive than green ones)

Hmm.. I hope it's not how to come for crosses or how to stop goals at your near post

6% is a hell of a lot. Add on all the other constructions as well. Look again at the most densely populated countries list, then restrict your search to just England. We can't move and we can't breathe.

Well, I did as you suggested and watched it. What a load of claptrap, I have never seen such flawed logic since Ponzi schemes started. The left column has the same cost but the top has global depression and the bottom has a smiley face, it's the same cost so you should expect the same outcome, you idiot, (I kept shouting at the screen). He also assumes that taking action is going to make a difference, which it won't, and that there's no ice age hovering around the next corner. Add in global depression to the bottom left and the only box with a smiley is the top right. The debate has many degrees of complexity and simplistic logic such as this reminds me of the Bible classes when I was a kid. Thanks for posting the link, if anything it confirms my beliefs.
